Mike and Ashley have a special kind of chemistry where it doesn't feel like acting e.g. where you don't feel they've been to a chemistry test. You can just watch their scenes over and over and never get tired of them. Its just unfortunate they were cast as step-siblings on a family show - where they couldn't of explored their dynamic even if they wanted to,

Okay but like the fact that there's still people out there editing Dasey as though the show ended only two years ago when in fact it's been about ten at this point just gives me such glee. Honestly you, and those others are what motivated me to rewatch the series and fall in love with them all over again. And every time I watch an edit as incredible as this one- I just fall harder. Brilliant work. Ten stars, 'cause five just ain't enough⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

"Derek doesn't care what I do" over images of Derek very much caring about what Casey does and who she sees.... MY HEART and OMG all those moments surrounding his decision to not go to Spain just because he'd miss Casey. All of it really. How it picks it up towards the end in all the best ways. This is such a MASTERPIECE. Absolutely beautiful. I cannot praise your work enough.

It was already going so well, and then I got WAAAAY more emotional than I thought I would once 2:29 hit HUHUHU. And OOF the ending really got to me. "The greatest story never told." Plus all the stuff in between about the denial and trying to force themselves to see each other/believe that they're family? Perfection.

I don't normally cry over Dasey. But I am bawling right now! And I was doing just fine until it starts going into how he's going to miss Casey if he goes away... Actual tears. So many tears. "The greatest story never told". WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO ME?? The scenes are perfect, the voiceovers, the parallels are amazing. Thank you so much for this lovely bit of HEARTBREAKING content.

Im in AWE! This is brilliantly done! All those microexpressions and conflicting sentences, the pace, the song, the casey and derek! You keep taking this unassuming family show and squeeze out of it the greatest romance never told (at least, not as expilicitly. Its amazing how much of it passed over the heads of children and adults alike). And you just keep getting better!

Haha, I believe this is the motivation I need to finish watching LWD because I've only seen like what, the first four episodes of the series. These two have way too much chemistry and tension to be just “stepsiblings.” They were soulmates who found each other in unusual circumstances but yet they still fell for each other, hard if I might add in!

They really f up what could be even more awesome. They’re parents must have been neighbors and for some reason they would be aways at each other’s house like she babysitting and him being friends with a brother of hers something like that so we could have got what everyone wanted anyway! The chemistry was just too freaking good! It would have work perfectly and still not change much the mir parents dating for a while would be a funny episode and not shipping ruining

@@Anne_fka_XATM038x I think the original meaning of the scene is supposed to be this: they're talking, Casey feels closer to him after all they've been through together, so she refers to him as a brother, Derek corrects her (STEP-brother) because he's proud and stubborn and doesn't want to admit she's become family to him, she says "same difference" with her eyes full of hope ("come on, please let me in, accept me, let us have this family moment"), Derek begrudgingly caves in and admits he cares ("yeah, alright"). I honestly think it's very cute. But I can't help and interpret it that other way. Because of their chemistry, because of the lingering, because Mike and Ash deliberately played it ambiguously, because the way their characters work together makes for such a good couple. ❤️

Hi 😅 You’re right, i don’t own the show or the song. So there’s never any guarantee that my video will be allowed to stay up on this platform. But, thankfully, it usually is tolerated. Any add that plays before or during my edits generates money that goes into the rightful owners’ pockets. I don’t get paid, they do. Hope this helps you understand better.

@@filmmakerdreamstudios I'd love to see the production order and complete writing credits if we can spot a pattern... But in this case I'm putting more "blame" on the directing and editing. Because given how subtext heavy Dasey is, they had a bigger hand in giving us the romance than the (admittedly very ambiguous) writing.
