Once there were over 14,000 of this variant of Clio on Britain’s roads. My occasional run-around is one of less than 40 licenced.
Here’s a few jobs undertaken to keep this dependable fun little supermini alive. Aside from the interior light just now, all electrics still work. One fault not mentioned was a broken ignition lead. This didn't cause a complete breakdown however it caused RF interference with the FM radio.
With the spark plugs correctly gaped and tyres inflated, it gets 400 miles to the tank on E5 fuel with longer journeys, or 300 miles on E10 with shorter trips.
The paintwork will touch up with a bit of spray lacquer, I hope!
