RIP Edward. He set the tone for Knight Rider..terrific actor. I remember as a young child being mesmerized by his wonderul accent, distinguished style and fatherly personality he brought to Devin Miles.
Thanks you two. I grew up with the series as my brother has s1 with kr 2000 . I always felt a grandfatherly bond to Devon (my grandfather on Dad's side died when I was 8 and my mom's dad died in she was 10. ) so I in a way had no grandfather. Edward Mulhare/Devon Miles filled that gap. A little off topic but I am friends with Nick Nugent (author of KR Companion book) an David and James Larson (2 of Glen's sons) and note I'm only 20 lol
Well Edward passed away around 97 but team Knight Rider dedicated an episode called KRO in his memory. Patricia retired from acting around the 80s and became an environmental activist.

William didn't want his name to be credited to the show because he wanted the fans to believe kitt was really a computer. He was also never on set. His job took 30 minutes a day in a voice recording studio. He met David at the first Christmas party but that was it.

@@puppylove3781 Boy Meets World was a show he did many years later. He was also a very well trained actor and eventually wanted to try other roles. Another issue is that there was a failed series recently before knight rider called my mother the car which also failed. Maybe he didn't want to be credited to a failure of a show when it first aired. It's been decades later and we all now know and love the actor who played that voice
@@puppylove3781 Boy Meets World aired over a decade after Knight Rider began, and there was no direct connection to the show. The Knight Rider hype had long since past and the kids who believed KITT was real had grown up. Daniels was free to do whatever he wanted, and to be honest he always was, but he was nice enough to keep the illusion alive for Knight Rider's run. In short, stop complaining.
