Absolutely THIS! Especially early on, food and pots are straight impossible to fund on just vendor trash, quests will make an enormous difference to that early level grind. On top of that, learning to take care of quests regularly as soon as they're available make for a valuable asset!

This is by far the best change they've made. Grinding killing mobs for 14 hours in between each level was atrocious. Being able to go and do some quests for 85% of your level is a perfect change

@@davidashton8898 There are times when there aren't that many quests to go around with, but luckily this is in the lesser half of the whole adventure ^^

Yes! I picked up some quests in flaris & it helped me a ton with penya so now I can buy food lol and it even gave pretty good exp. I was surprised o.O

I come from 15 years of both, honestly... I was a little young to appreciate WoW and Flyff back when they were at its finest, but I have a long history with them both ^^ I agree with your statement completely, I wanted to make a beginner-oriented guide because of how many people have come to assume that everyone in Flyff Universe is a veteran Flyff player. Once I came to realize that this wasn't the case, I had to do something about it!

Yeah, Moon Beam was actually an addition completely unique to Flyff Universe - the skill didn't use to exist back in the day and was made solely with the intent of making it possible for support-type assists to be able to play on their own to some extent. It's a cruel fact that it can sometimes be hard to find a leveling partner to play with (and that's what most support assists rely on) and since usually the levelers are the ones getting all the loot, usually the supports end up empty-handed and unable to afford anything. A little bit of self-sufficiency makes up for those flaws! Glad to hear you're enjoying the game so far though! I actually used to be a support main myself back when I used to play in my first years in the game - it's super fun and feels rewarding when you have people to play with and when others can truly benefit from your skill set, regardless of their level ^^ Hope your experience will remain pleasant as well :)

​@@yebii_ I actually went over the biggest differences between the two games on my previous video, feel free to check it out if you're interested ^^ For Assist-specific changes though, I would say that what mostly changed was how the buffs behave in the game. The bonuses that buffs give have been altered. For example, Patience used to give a flat HP boost - now it gives a percentage. Haste used to only give attack speed, but now it also gives Casting Speed, making it useful for mages and skill users as well! Those buff-specific changes and a couple nerfs aside, the biggest change they made in Flyff Universe is that buff effects can get more powerful, scaling based on your INT. So the more INT you have, the more additional bonuses your buffs will give! You can see the bonuses that your INT provides by hovering over any buffs that you cast and checking the yellow font text. If you for example get (20+3) STA from a maxed out Heap Up, the buff gives 3 extra STA just because your INT stat is that high - So making full support characters is more beneficial than ever! :) Another big change they made is that an AoE skill, Merkaba Hanzelrusha, can now be learned as soon as you become a Ringmaster at leve 60, basically the advanced version of a support-oriented Assist - it used to require level 80 before, and is another example of their increased self-sufficiency! Aside from that, Assist pretty much plays the same, you heal and buff players as needed and remind them why you're the most important character in a party.

Assist to Ringmaster is actually a versatile way as you can also support someone and get leveling through them, so they're truly a multifunctional character. However I think if someone's new to the game's functions, one should definitely go with a 1v1 character first to get the feel around it and maybe then go for an AoE character ^^

Flyff has been a game that lived on surprisingly long, and I guess the love for the game is what brought it back as the remastered version known as Flyff Universe :)

@@emenalus i played that like 14 years ago during my high school i was in iblis server i think and was a elemental mage like a super tank mage. My stats are mostly on stamina and only 50 on int. Cant deal much damage but can tank haha

Thing about Flyff Universe is that it doesn't run on clients - it's entirely based on a browser. However, compared to how original Flyff used to be, it is much more stable. As long as your computer specs allow it, running multiple windows shouldn't provide an issue :)

The dog is next to the tree farthest in the back, it might also spawn inside the tree so keep your eyes open :) If you're scared of mobs, try just steering clear of reds. Their aggro range isn't high!

Flyff isn't a game exactly abundant with quests, sometimes you have to level up to unlock some more. Anyhow, Flyff in it's core IS a very grindy game. If that isn't your cup of tea, maybe dropping the game IS a better option... but I'll just let you know that the game gets more engaging when you have friends to play with and when you rack up some levels and your character becomes more personalized - your choice whether you wanna give it a second chance :)

My next upload is actually going to be an introductory video to all classes, where I'm also thinking of letting the community let me know if they would like a more in-depth overview of all the available classes - not sure if you still need the help, but if you still do, keep your head up ^^ For waiting for this long, I'll atleast let you know that if you intend to run a 1v1 Mercenary, a mixture of STR and DEX should do the trick. Add some DEX for hit rate, crit and attack speed and use STR to amp up your damage. Learn weapon buffs to maximize your damage output and lastly, get yourself a decent Mercenary set, like Comet/Cylos (Lvl 30) or Recorn/Rescorn (Lvl 60). Happy leveling, mate

Of course it is! Even though the game gets new updates, it is mostly towards end-game. The earlier phases of the game still remain the same :)

Hey there! Flyff PC does still exist, but it is not the same game as Flyff Universe. In fact, the original Flyff is so dead right now that it's not even worth seeing it or checking it out :D But yeah, due to it being an entirely different game, your old accounts no longer exist and you'll have to start anew. Besides, your old accounts probably wouldn't exist anyway since you likely weren't there to transfer accounts to the new publishers when they changed twice, from Gpotato to Webzen and from Webzen to Bora. I think the amount of characters a single account can hold in a server is 2, considering that you can only see 2 bank windows in the bank screen. I haven't tried this out yet though, I've been just playing a single character so far :) Also don't sweat it, it's a pleasure to answer to your questions!

Yeah, in general the Reonan questline is one of the most lucrative things to start as early as possible as it carries on until pretty high levels. I could've mentioned that separately but thought that ppl would notice that if I highlighted questing in the video :)

@@emenalus yeah and the most important is the Free Inventory Space. I created a new character and reach level 66 in less than 24 hours by doing Reonan Quest

@@rodelio1267 Yeah, inventory slots are the KEY reason why people should engage into questing atleast to some extent even if they don't like it very much. I see a lot of people complain about their lack of inventory space later on as it gets filled with cards and trash, but haven't even spent the time to do any quests... the history questline is one of the best ways to get quick inventory slots, which I recommend most to do :)

Since the servers are already released, I'm afraid that the change has already happened. I hope that the english speaking populace is still going strong there, but I believe English should still be a popular language, due to it being a lingua franca.

The Vagrant skills in particular are combo skills and can only be used in succession with one another on the action slots - the thing that looks like a magnum chamber to the right side of your other hotkeys. Assign your skills there, starting with Clean Hit, putting as many Flurries as you wish and finishing off with Overcutter :) Most other skills will work on hotkeys as intended, just that combo skills won't!

Unfortunately not, but there's a few ways to make sure the game run better! *1. Try different browsers or change their settings.* Some browsers aren't simply all that compatible with Flyff Universe, so trying different ones out for performance might fix your issue ^^ Some browsers also have settings that can be toggled to improve the performance of your game, such as Google Chrome with hardware acceleration in Advanced Settings. So check your browser(s) thoroughly! *2. Using a wrong graphics card on laptop.* If you're a laptop user, you probably have integrated graphics on top of your graphics card. As browsers are usually lightweight, they're probably ran on your integrated graphics. Depending on your graphics card, there likely is a way for you to manually change what graphics you're running the browser on, for example Nvidia Control Panel. You can probably find information on the internet related to your graphics card if you don't know how! *3. Lower your settings.* Flyff Universe can be quite demanding with high graphical settings. Be sure to find the settings that suit you if neither of those solved you problem. Hope this helped! You can probably find more advice on the net if none of these worked :)

There are very little quests that aren't actually worth your time, but that's entirely dependent on what level you happen to be. If it's a single quest meant for level 20 and you're like level 40... unless there's some other reward you want, it won't be worth it for the exp anymore :p I know of ONE useless quest"line" though, and that's the quests that Novelist Gergantes give. They give no rewards and I honestly have no idea what the quest items given are for... xD

There's a small musical note icon at the top right while at the login screen. Clicking that will turn on sound :) Be wary though, it's usually quite loud at first! You can later adjust volume levels once in the game through Menu > Options.

Hoh boy, metaplay and deciding what's the best definitely isn't my field of expertise but here we go... I'd say that skilling and autoattacking come with their own strengths and weaknesses, and that depends a lot on your intended playstyle and budget. Playing with autoattacks is pretty expensive in the game right now, as the Cruiser sets and bows suitable for autoattacks (Flaming Bow, Historic Bow, etc.) go for top coin. Unless you're really good at farming and grinding or willing to convert Fcoins into Penya, getting your hands on those might take a while. The good side is that autoattack builds are great for bossing, but they're also strictly 1v1 and might not level as fast as productive AoE methods. Skilling in the other hand doesn't require as much budget, as sets like Rebron/Restron that boost HP and skill damage are way cheaper and skilling doesn't benefit from crits at all - so funding Cruiser and the sort would be basically useless. Skill damage is pretty strong early on, and Rangers also can learn Arrow Rain at 50 and a bunch of AoE spells as soon as they complete 2nd job change, so the possibility to AoE farm isn't that far off, making leveling potentially much faster. So it depends - what do you wanna achieve as a Ranger? How much is within the realms of your capability? I like to leave answers to these questions open-ended, as I believe every player is unique in the playstyle that suits best for them. If you have any further questions, do let me know ^^

Hey there, Ryan! I'm sorry for the late response, it seems that some of the comments didn't get through to me since I got so many on the day of my upload :( I didn't get a notification. You can get a Cruiser Suit as a rare drop from monsters just like any other greens, from roughly level 50 and above until you start dropping level 60 greens. Mind you though that suits are EXTREMELY rare hence their extreme price tag, so if you're hoping to farm for it, prepare to grind your ass off for it :D not to worry though, you might drop some other items instead that might help you with purchasing one ^^ Happy leveling! :)

When you're referring to Flyff Wiki, I presume you mean flyffipedia.com? Mind you that the game is based off the original 2005 MMO and the information listed between these two websites are different! If you are, there shouldn't be any issues with seeing the rewards even while on mobile. Tested it myself and didn't encounter any issues. The rewards should be listed under the quest objectives! :)

After a certain level (15 and up I think), mobs start dropping them every now and then. Just be patient, you won't need them that much i a while anyway ^^

@@impressivesmirk You can check that in the server selection as you log out, in the top left of your friends list, or in the "Character" menu, the one where you can put your stats in. One of the tabs in that said menu has an overview that tells your server and also has convenient buttons for quickly switching characters and channels ^^

You can by buying it from another player! All the cash shop items are tradeable (except for bundle offers), and servers usually have a going price for the premium currency, fCoins, which is often some amount of millions per 1k. A pick-up pet's price in the premium store is 1k fCoins, so with that going rate you should be able to buy one of the pick-up pets available in the catalog that way :)

The game is cross-platform so classes shouldn't be any different for mobile platforms. I personally don't play on mobile so it's hard to say which one would be the most comfortable either :) If it's about classes in general, Ranger is a pretty safe pick for 1v1, AoEing and kiting. But aside from that, you should just look into the available classes and play something you'd like! Worry about meta once you get your footing ^^

I know I promised that, but I set my focus on streaming the game once the EU servers came out and eventually I just had too much on my plate, focusing on work, streaming, RU-vid and making time for my friends. I kind of got crushed under that pressure and decided to take a break from all of it. Not to worry though, I actually posted in my community category not too long ago that I'd start making some content again this year once everything important is out of the way - employment seeking, applying for universities and polytechnics, etc., and that stuff I think will be out of the way pretty soon :) So expect more content coming out from me in the following months! And that includes me :) I have the same hope for Flyff Universe as you do, and it does bring many of the features back that original Flyff had, and other good stuff! There are some things that won't change like how peoples' years of knowledge affects the game, but the potential for community experience is still there if one wishes for it ^^ Of course, once I get back to content creation, I'll also continue streaming. I love interacting with my small community while playing and making something mundane like grinding into something engaging for both me and the viewers! But that will be once I'm in full throttle

Losha is in the eastern part of the town of Flarine :) If you have a quest to meet her, you should be able to see a red question mark on her spot or click her name in quest objectives to get a marker for her ^^

Hey Juan, There is this one developer who made video comparisons about several line-ups and their DPS at maximum potential gear. According to the video they had about Bow Jester vs. Ranger, the Ranger outdamaged the Jester in autoattacks, effectively making Bow Jesters inferior to them. Yo-Yo Jesters themselves also outdamaged Bow Jesters. True.. i see a lot of normal hit rangers did a lot of damage but my yj (thanks for the free auto restat after 2nd job) become a budget short range blade. I'm not at 75 yet but the damage spikes should had started at crit strike dmg buff skill lvl at level 70. Which made me ask why.. the blade, my yj and the ranger used 45 lvl equips. If im wrong the blade used masquerpet cutter. My full crit was like 1.5 to 3k on mush at lvl 72/73 while rangers blade deals a lot more.

@@juanchance8267 While Jesters have incredibly have crit chance, their base damage is the weakest of them all. So jesters will probably do a lot less crit damage than other classes, but then again other classes won't crit nearly as often as jester does.

Thanks for the comment man, I'm hearing this fairly often and I'm sorry that the music is making it hard to hear me! Audio balance is still something I have to learn as someone new to content creation, but I'll eventually get there. I went to great lengths to decrease the volume of the music compared to my last video, but I suppose it still wasn't enough - If there's any specific parts that you feel like you specifically missed, let me know :)

I kind of answered this question on my earlier video, but I'll share my knowledge-based views here: In this game, progression is easier as a spender, but definitely not by a ridiculous margin or by any means necessary. Only reason you would "need" to spend is to compete in PvP with top ranking guilds, but aside from that, like in PvE, spending is only a way to make the progress faster, if only by slightly, but not necessary. So is it P2W? I would say so. But does that matter in this game? In most cases, not really :)

It's a REALLY grindy game and I totally understand that it's not everyone's forte :) Having friends to play with, perhaps finding a guild for a community and using your existing characters to make leveling the next one easier and somewhat different are ways how I personally motivated myself to carry on for extended periods of time, but we're all different. Regardless, atleast you tried the game out ^^

I think it's no secret to anybody who's dealt with Flyff before that this game is pay to win by design - because IT IS. And there's a LOT of things you have pretty limited access to without spending, such as upgrading or other premium goodies that appear in the market consistently. That isn't to say that the game isn't intolerable as it is though, even for a F2P player. There are some activities like PvP and maybe endgame that lean heavily towards spending to be even viable, but most regular players will actually find themselves surprisingly comfortable with just what they can scrape together with the penya they generate by simply playing (this of course can heavily depend on the server). I'm a purist myself, admittedly not in the endgame though, and while I can't do everything I would honestly want to do, I consider them a challenge and a source of motivation to keep grinding since getting involved with the economy is a lot easier early one than one might think. Any premiums you can get your hands on already means that you have some way to get carried along the waves of the economy, and any investments on better equipment that you can make contribute to making grinding and farming even more productive. That brings to the point that I made on this video well over a year ago, and I still haven't honestly budged from it. Is it P2W? Yes. But for a regular player, does it matter? Not really. Things are just about as accessible to everyone with a little effort, and spending just speeds up the process. Whether that speed matters to you or not depends on the player - But well, atleast I'm not in a hurry :) The journey is what makes the game fun for me. On the topic of classes, Blades are admittedly the cream of the crop in terms of damage but they also suffer from a pretty limited toolkit. They're pretty much the berserkers of the group, heavy hitters but they're also quite vulnerable, while other classes do sacrifice some damage for utility but not to the point of becoming negligible. Maybe not the fastest, but I think each class has its place in the game ^^ EDIT: Thanks for sharing your thoughts though, yours definitely isn't any less valid! We all look into certain qualities in games that can either sell it for us or not. I recommend checking out some subscription-based MMORPGs or private servers if you don't find the P2W aspect tolerable x)

These are some really good tips, I actually didn't know people were abusing duel requests for money! I am also very familiar with people trying to sell SProLows, treating them like normals but for a cheaper price. Truly disgusting. Also true, NEVER take part in a 2-step trade. The trade system allows a secure transaction in one single swap, take advantage of that! *Otherwise people will take advantage of YOU.*
