Thank you so much, this video really helped me, luckily my slip had the kct 1 and kct 2 digits and I simply imputed the two codes plus my actual token, power was restored, but my question now is henceforth, Will I now be imputing the 60 digit codes before it works?? thank you.

No. Only when there has been another tariff change and you start getting the error message 'AAAAAA' etc and you are unable to recharge your meter with your token. You will then need to be issued another/a new 40 digit kct 1 & 2 either online or on your token receipt. Until then, recharge normally as you were previously doing.

Conlog ip54 wuiu is a South African product and the company is based in LaMercy, Durban and I think Woodmead in Johannesburg. It uses radio frequency to operate wireless. I have the same wireless Conlog meter in the house. Thanks.

I use a Conlog Prepaid Meter. Try out the steps I advised in the video. If it doesn't work out, kindly visit the closest business hub of your Electricity Distribution Company.

1) Check properly to make sure that the meter number on the token ie recharge you bought is your correct meter number. 2) Check that you are properly doing the steps outlined in the video. Its meant to be done just once for that tariff change cycle and subsequently you are meant to just input your token as you used to do without inputing the kct 1 and 2 first. 3. Check that a new kct 1 and 2 were not generated for you even after the previous one. 4. If all else fails, kindly contact the closest business hub of your Electricity Distribution Company.

If it doesn't pop up on the keypad screen but the screen is not blank either, your keypad is probably faulty and you would need to contact the closest business hub of your Electricity Distribution Company for assistance in resolving this problem.

@user-xp4ss9xi1g ok. First off, you need to have that keypad fixed either by a qualified technician or when you visit the offices of your Electricity Distribution Company (EDC) where they have in-house technicians. Secondly, when you visit your EDC, ask them how you can get your kct 1 & 2...whether they have a website you can input your meter number to generate the kct, whether you need to purchase another token from a specific verified agent and have the kct printed on your token slip or whether they can assist you in generating the token themselves. How was the token generated for you? Via your DISCO(Distribution Company) website or a printout via your DISCO representative? When a kct is generated for you, the words 'kct1 and kct2' are always written directly in front of the respective 20 digit token. Then your Prepaid meter token is also listed directly in front of the token itself. I have never seen nor heard of a bonus Prepaid meter token being given to anyone. Check to see if the words kct1 and kct2 are visible on your token printout or the web page whichever outlet you used for purchase and then follow the steps outlined in the video. If it still doesn't work,kindly visit the closest business hub of your Electricity Distribution Company for assistance. All the best

@Emjaystalkroom You can try purchasing electricity token from Buypower.ng. More often than not, your kct 1 & 2 is sent alongside your token if there has been a tarriff change and your EDC has updated their servers.

EEEEEEE means token processing failed. It means the token has been accepted by the meter but cannot be processed It may be due to connectivity, so try loading it again at a later time and please try to be within close proximity of the meter. Also ensure that you input the codes by 20 each. If all these fails, kindly visit the closest Business Hub of your Electricity Distribution Company for assistance. All the best.

@@BubzyRicch how did you buy postpaid? That's almost impossible because for most postpaid billing systems in Nigeria, you are usually given a 'Bill' with which you either go to the bank or an accredited DISCO agent to make payment.

For Conlog Prepaid Meter, no. For other Prepaid meters, either the # button or the green button that looks like this 'J' with an arrowhead.

That is not a Conlog meter. There are Prepaid meter keypads that do not work with batteries but rather directly to electricity supply using a cord. In this instance, try connecting it directly to your wall socket and avoid using extension boxes. If its still showing error, kindly reach out to your Electricity Distribution Company's closest business hub. All the best.

Don't understand what you mean by that but the 20 digit token and 40 digits kct 1 and kct 2 are generated for you. They are not usually the same numbers

You can only generate KCT once and once you input it, it solves the problem. You can try generating KCT a second time but it will keep on giving you the previous KCT.. And when entering the units you bought, you might want to start entering it from the oldest e.g if you bought units on the 12th, 16th and 17th of March 2024, start with the oldest meaning the units you got on the 12th. That means you are not entering the numbers well. First enter the 20 digit kct1 then enter the 20 digit kct2 before entering your 20 digit prepaid meter token. If you do this properly and it still doesn't work, check to make sure that the meter number the kct codes were generated for is your ACTUAL meter number. If this still doesn't work, kindly visit the closest business hub of your Electricity Distribution Company for assistance.

1) confirm that the Meter number on your token is correct. 2) Enter kct 1 and wait for acknowledgement. 3) Enter kct2 and wait for acknowledgement 4). Enter your prepaid token. 5) If all these fail, kindly visit the closest business hub of your Electricity Distribution Company.

You only have to do it once during the duration of the tariff change. Afterwards, continue recharging as usual

Sorry to hear that. Firstly, kindly check that the meter number on your purchased token is your correct meter number. Secondly, check that you followed the exact instructions given in the video by inputing your 20 digits kct1 first before the 20 digit kct2 and then your 20 digit prepaid token. Imo State is under EEDC. 1. You can get Electricity token from their approved agent with the kct1 and kct2 also on the token slip. 2. You can visit any of the EEDC offices closest to you or their website to get their contact details. 3. You can purchase electricity token from 'buypower' and if a kct has been assigned to your meter, you will be sent the kct1 and kct2 alongside your electricity token. All the best.

It appears to be an indication that there is a fault. If its also showing negative sign (-) in units, you need to recharge asap. If it is only showing the spanner sign, You need to contact your Electricity Distribution company and they will give you a code to reset it. All the best.

Kindly watch the full video. I explained exactly how to put in the KCT codes in the video. In summary, you first enter in the first 20 digits ie kct1, then the next 20 digits ie kct 2 before entering the prepaid meter token.

You can ask them if the kct will be on the token receipt because there are particular POS that the EDCs provide to their agents that can automatically do this. Either way, it should automatically be on your token slip or you will be directed to the website of your EDC to generate the KCT 1 & KCT 2 or you will be directed to their customer service section for assistance in generating the kct for you.

1. It might be the wrong codes. Try regenerating the codes. 2. You might not be inputing the codes properly. Kindly ensure that you are inputing the codes two seperate times ie 20 codes each and not the whole 40 at once. 3. Check that the meter number used is correct. 4. If all these fails, you will have to visit the closest business hub of your Electricity Distribution Company for help. All the best.

The spanner sign appears to be an indication that there is a fault. If it was also showing the negative sign (-) in units, you would have needed to recharge ASAP. However, since its only showing the spanner sign, you have to contact your Electricity Distribution Company and they will give you a code to reset it. All the best.

You deleted your token how??? If you purchased it from an EDC vendor, simply look for the print out slip and use that or if you have thrown it away, you can go back to the vendor you purchased from and plead with them to help you get it back from their history. Or if you purchased online from like Buypower and you deleted the msg or email containing the token, reach out to their customer care and they will help you retrieve it again. All the best.

No Colog Prepaid Meter Keypad comes with alphabets, please. They only come with numbers because the Prepaid meter token you buy to recharge is only in numbers.

@yewiyombogmail.com. ok. That sign means that your units are exhausted and you need to get some units ie recharge token. Other options if the battery change still doesnt work will be to try go close to your Meter itself so that there is proper connection to the keypad or it could be that the keypad itself (ie the buttons) is bad and no longer working which would actually require it to be fixed by your Electricity distribution company. Note : also try to ensure that there is electricity when loading the token. 'Full current not half current'. All the best.
