Lifelike track "So Electric" meets Olivia Newton John in the movie "Xanadu". Still a great track deeply rooted in that 80s spirit LIFELIKE put into music so well.
Since I first listened to this track (in other sample) I really feel this track is gonna stay at the top of my list. The best of all. Maybe I live all of my life and at the end of it my mind is gonna play it for me still as the best. I feel that's how it's gonna be.
This just reminds me off a dream or maybe hopefully 🙏🏻 when you wake up after you die and you go into this world, amazing feeling seeing everyone you know just dancing/skating on loop the whole time. The afterlife ❤
Lifelike took a sample from 'Pat Benatar's Good Guys always finish first'... he saw it at the end of the movie Secret of my success with Michael J. Fox... and the sample says "S U C C E S S That's the way we spell success " the chorus spells the words out-
This makes you feel like you're a part of something amazing.... I know music is subjective ie "one man's treasure..." and all that (ie what sounds golden/great to one may be vapid generic and robotic to another),etc But come on....this isn't just a phenomenal tune...its also a masterpiece work of art!!!
I'll never understand why the fkn critics and audience didn't get this film/concept/aesthetic it's fkn amazing....should have been as big as grease/singing in the rain etc
I love this track! I was feeling pretty crappy this morning and then listened to it on the way to work, and all of a sudden I'm going no-hands on my bike, playing "air keyboard" and singing "did-did-ding... did-did-ding..." and clapping in time with the loop at the end. :-) Quality video too. Was it done in Ableton Live?
I consider myself the biggest fan of Lifelike and of this song, since I was the first one to post it up on youtube back in 2007. After all those years just today I found the two samples of this song, and what are the actually lyrics for the little chorus at the end. The little chorus actually says "Thats the way we spell success". BOOYAH.So the two samples are as some of you might now is "American Heartbeat" by Survivor the other is "Sometimes The Good Guys Finish First" by Pat Benatar.
