Love this turquoise segment! It really takes me back seeing the Chinese turquoise on the cards. It was so cheap 25 years ago! 60 cent a gram! Which shows you that when you see a nice gemstone flood the market buy it. Because the price will skyrocket once the mine runs out of good material. I’ve seen it happen again and again. Jason, I am so enjoying this video because turquoise has always been a favorite of mine, having grown up in southern Arizona and visiting Bisbee all the time. I still have the first jewelry given to me when I was three...a tiny ring with three stones in it! I really, really am looking forward to at some point, talking to you privately, via email, I have so many questions, stories of collecting to share and the fact that we seem to have very similar loves to collect (Bakelite, Mexican sterling, turquoise, Art Deco and Art Nouveau, glass vases, to name a few)! I too feel very sentimental about certain things and there is no price that would be high enough to make me part with my beloved items. You remind me of my dear friend, David, who told me that the clip I was wearing was Bakelite, in 1984, which started my obsession. Thank you, for you!🥰

Jason, as you know I'm almost 70. I have been celibate for a while honey but this is better than Sex!! If there is a gemstone that can get me excited it is turquoise!! I don't know where these turquoise Stone pieces & cabochons were in my life? I would have bought them in a heartbeat!!! I've been to many auctions, many jewelry shows & many rock& gem shows in my almost 70 years. I did not have the luxury of buying cabochons or pieces of turquoise, I bought turquoise jewelry. Of course my turquoise collection is not as good as yours. Yours is museum quality Jason. I am so jelly! Well darling each & every one of those pieces of turquoise tell a story. Jason, I really enjoyed this video more than I can put into words! I actually was engaged with my creative energy the entire time and several times I envisioned some of these stones being excellent patterns for them to perfectly mimic real turtles shells. Really appreciate your hard work. ❤️ About the Chinese characters on the back of those two turquoise pieces in the end of the video, since I was born and raised in Taiwan (but have lived in the States for 26 years), I can identify them. It says “a pair” or “matching pair” You held the Chinese characters up side down so I had flip my iPad to read them. 😄😄😄

Jason, please take care of yourself and that back of yours. I've dealt with back pain since I was a teenager. My dr ended up putting me on Disability when I was 27 and now I'm 46. I've had 2 back surgeries and unfortunately facing a major back surgery. I need to quit smoking first, ugh! 😂

We called the shell beads Heishi beads. That's just natives that refer mostly to Heishi beads. Your pieces are beautiful. I have multi strand heishi fetish necklace around 70yrs old.
