My state allows EMT-A's to acquire and interpret 3 leads as well as acquire and transmit 12 leads without a paramedic present. Most of our local BLS trucks with EMT-A's have LP15's, some are using LP12's, which work just fine.
Good video, thank you. One question : is there an adjustment to make on the monitor to reduce the pressure used to inflate the B/P cuff when using the pediatric or infant cuffs? You mentioned the pressure setting can be changed using the dial, but I’m wondering if there’s a simple setting for using the smaller cuffs. I’ve used hospital based monitors that had a button to press when measuring the B/P of pediatric or infants. Thank you.
There is no specific button but you can scroll onto the bp box and click it and can choose the initial max pressure, if it can't get a bp at that pressure it will bump up higher anyway.
@@theg.o.a.t9864 thank you for your reply. I work on Monday and will play around with it. If I come up with anything of interest I’ll let you know. Till then, thanks again for videos.
@@paulbieber7103 What I did was watch a couple complete in depth guide on the lifepaks on youtube so that I would be more confident in touching the monitor.
