The main problem with lifesteal is that it’s the same thing over again, like rekrap said in his “why I left lifesteal” video. It’s always betrayal, then revenge, plot twist / the plan goes wrong, final stand where the main character wins.
Thats the reason why i love Branzy the most although hes the weakest in lifesteal he always manages to come up with something creative other than just endless pvps and traps
Correction: 5:52 -When rekrap killed clown, it was on a test server for season 3. When the ACTUAL server for season 3 started, the members called it “lifesteal season 3.1” at the start. The kill rekrap got on clown on the test server did not transfer over to the actual season 3 server. Hope this clears up any confusion! Lifesteal may be on the decline, but it’s still doing well as of now. Good video as usual janke! Glad to see you’ve become more popular. I remember the days when you were making LS apps with like 20k subs. Lol
Honestly season 5 has been my favourite iteration of lifesteal. Having strength and speed pots reminds me of season 2 in all of the good ways, but not having netherite or pearls balances it out. I hope that the majority of them continue to make videos because I'm still loving it
Overall, Rekrap is definitely my all time favorite member of Lifesteal but right now MinuteTech's videos are actually insane. Also wemmbu's have been pretty great so far and Vitalasy is just such a chill and awesome steamer to watch.
Rekrap leaving was definitely the first blow. Spoke ruined season 4, and then more and more members left or stopped uploading, and those who were still uploading just weren't producing unique or entertaining content anymore.
I would say that Spoke actually made it more interesting with his exploits (although I’m gonna be honest it’s probably scripted or Parrot just wanted more interesting content since in no way would he just not instantly ban them)
@SpaceAndTornadoNerd Wormhole would almost never work on a competent server owner and was already patched like months before the video (there’s a debunk of wormhole by someone called Fishy)
Even if Lifesteal does fall, lots of laughters, stories and epic fight will hopefully remain on youtube, as I follow lifesteal since season one, if parrot leave, there will still be amazing content creator and I will never stop listening to the video they uploaded
And I really feel bad for lifesteal, I sadly left for 5 months of lifesteal season 5 and like 2 months ago, I’m back, watching every single detail and video and stream because I genuinely enjoy it. I have hope that one day big and small creators that were on lifesteal will join again. But what I do know is that no matter what, all of the lifesteal SMP members are in the end just a Buch of silly guys having fun together (only a few that didn’t get along 😭😅)

ashwagg's video on him becoming a god in season 4 just kinda hyped me up, him flexing his god-like powers is something i would definitely do and enjoy every moment until the end as much as him, maybe even more
In the end,the worst part was their upload scathuale. It was impossible to follow what was happening unless you wore always tunnuing in for the twich streams. Tryed to watch season 4 but it was a big mess
Honestly, season 2 was the prime of the server. Season 3 wasn't too bad either, but arrow spamming, or killing people over wearing or not wearing pants was just not that interesting
So the main reason Lifesteal is declining is because of many factors like the decline of SMP content and it being overdone the conterveries of MinuteTech and PrinceZam along with the conflict with Mapicc and mcCltuch really killed the spirit. The public LS server helped bring the popularity of the server and brought me back to LS content for a little bit but we need someone to make unique content and LS is extremely good at that. Which made it one of the most popular SMP servers on RU-vid. But hey thats just a theory Im just a high school nerd complaing about Minecraft.
Even if season 3 felt like the best to me . I really appreciate the oore of season 4 because of the no pants pp war , duping war , apo and team awesome war , villain arc of mapic and roshambo and the best one which was the wormhole but there were not that much vids on it and mamy popular youtubers like rek , clown , ashwag and jarom didnot post. But other youtubers got the chance to make really good content gain audience at that time. Season 5 is just bacon mapic parrot clown minute jumper and branzy posting . Cuz most people are not uploading

I honestly believe season 5 has been the best season. With the addition of minute tech, I really enjoyed this season. (Not to say they were the only reasons, but I generally think that it was mostly him and Mapicc.) Season 4 for me was kinda bad. It was really just spoke admin abusing and I didn't find it very enjoyable. Other then that other season was great!
I'm new to lifesteal and had my 2 day base make destroyed and greifed badly using a claim exploit and xray. Admins have yet to do anything about it. I moved base but it's not fair that I lose everything due to hacks
I think the issue with lifesteal is that it all has very modern editing, in that it doesn’t give any context or actual gameplay and is all narrative. It also doesn’t reference any other videos by the creator and is overall harder to follow. I think if you want lifesteal and modern smp’s like it you need a more wilbur soot or hermitcraft style, either simpler, episodic videos, or smaller social videos hat reference each other
McClutch’s situation is sad to me because he was a much more wholesome member of lifesteal than zam. Rekrap was also one of the most positive and heartwarming members of the server. And ItsSubz was always a super chill guy, but he left and made a comment on McClutch’s video about the toxicity they both experienced in the Minecraft community. You add on top of that the situation with Parrot leaving, and you’ve got a server on the decline.
I personally think that for the series to get evolve many interworking issues need to be fixed, and possibly a entertaining spin. Think QSMP but more geared twords lifesteals style. Like a luxury island with both mods for combat and general building. Maybe slowly turn the server into a apocalypse with parasites as players either learn to adapt and survive, team and make bonds against a greater evil, or become the greater evil. Like, maybe play some dnd or something to get a better feel of everyone of first. That's at least my thoughts and opinions as rando giving the "definitive right" answer.
the cleansing was when i first learned about lifesteal smp. After that it seems to have fallen off in a sense. I really haven't seen much content from any seasons after the cleansing.
What I think is, is that no Lifesteal SMP isn’t dying, on RU-vid, you could say so, but there are other streaming platforms such as twitch. Zam, Mapicc and other members stream quite frequently on lifesteal, Zam at least streams on Lifesteal once a week. But I’d say most of the Lifesteal fans come from RU-vid. Especially since members such as Zam has 3 times less followers than subscribers. But the thing is that they don’t really put much effort into RU-vid, there are still many lifesteal members who do have a decent upload schedule like Reddoons, but a lot of other members have minimum 3 months between uploads. Yes minecraft videos, especially ones you want to do good, take up a lot of time to do, but surely it doesn’t take 3 months, plus if you finish the recording, you don’t even need to spend 24/7 editing, what I would do is spend maybe 2 days a week to edit the video, so on Monday and Thursday as an example. I think if they want Lifesteal to be popular again, they need to upload at least once every month, or every month and a half. I think the Lifesteal members do care about the community and making content, but they just don’t put a lot of effort and are a bit lazy, like I was watching a ClownPierce video on his second channel, he was deciding whether he should post a video he recorded. I am not saying that the Lifesteal SMP is lazy, they just need to put more effort into RU-vid more than twitch, or just put effort into RU-vid more, I know recording and editing is hard, but it isn’t that hard that you can’t upload once a month

Personally, I think rekrap is the sole reason why lifesteal gained THIS popular, I mean it would have been popular because of their unique concept of stealing hearts, but I don't think it would have been at the peak it reached without rekrap
I hate PrinceZam for being the reason MrClutch left.MrClutch's videos were like the first few videos i watched about lifesteal smp and PrinceZam also being in my favourite group The Eclipse Federation also bothers me alot 😢
Lifesteal SMP was something I enjoyed, I never cared about SMPs much, but this one made me interested since I didn't know how overused the betrayal, plot twist, war thing would be. When I watched RekRap's video about why he left I understood completely because after the same thing over and over again it does get boring and stuff. It's always the beginning of SMPs that are fun :( I usually only watched certain youtubers point of view just because they were interesting but now that most of those are gone, I no longer watch it anymore
They are kinda dominating the server now i dont see a team that can overtake them Maybe minute and maypic but flame said that he wants to be the villain of lifeseal and probably.minutes team will try to stop him leading.to a grand war between flamefrags and minute
I mean, the LifeSteal SMP isn't exactly that new, so it isn't surprising that the 5th season might be the end considering quite a few people have left, who knows who else is leaving Or they'd HAVE to leave considering toxic fanbases are ruining everything just to make themselves noticeable to their favourite youtuber
i enjoyed lifesteal content since season 2, i feel like because of other "smp's" lifesteal really got the worst, all the smp's were just copying the concept of a fake lifesteal. thats why there is so many smp videos now. they are good i cant lie, but it just doesn't feel right.
As someone who’s been watching lifesteal since the start of season 1, I think it’s definitely going downwards, because most of the players on it have stoped uploading as regularly. And i also think it is getting a bit repetitive, but that’s just my opinion lol
I stopped watching after Rekrap left. I started watching LifeSteal content through Rek beginning with his escaping Poafa's trap. After I heard about Rek leaving, I lost all interest in the server.
