You guys deserve good gear. Myself a 2012 rock warrior GFC guy, I’m so excited to watch this build. I hope the sponsors set ye all up. A joy to be a spectator.
That maniacal laugh at 35:08. Nothing beats lifting a full size rig. I had the same reaction after putting BP-51s on my Tundra. Looks good! Thanks for shedding light on Bush company bringing one piece shells to the states. I was looking for an excuse to not buy their South African counterparts bolt together option.
Been watching while building my 02’ Tundra. This channel puts together a truck like I put together my RC level, Scaled, crawl axial or RC4wd rigs or my own 02’😉🫡 All in all, while I have been subscribed to many of outdoor channels, this build is nice!!
Great build and detailed demonstration. Need shim to bring that RF up 2/8, would be interesting to see the downward articulation increase on Fox with 35s.
Congrats on the new build. I test drove a 2 year old used 1794 model and was let down with how much of the interior was falling apart. Aside from that there’s nothing like a full size truck. Drove full size diesel trucks for 25 years and have been in a 4Runner, sequoia and now a Tacoma over the last 6 years and I am ready to go back to a full size truck.
Epic truck! Thanks for sharing your build. Watching somebody mechanically skilled is awesome thanks for the inspiration. That supercharger shot was cheeky bet it will be 🔥 get some!
I love our Bush Company 270 max awning. It is a beast on our 2500 build. Both Barry and Dean were great to deal with as well. The Australians just do full size HD trucks so well.
I did ceramic tint only on the windshield and front windows here in Utah. All black vehicle inside and out. Honestly am impressed it doesn't get nearly as hot as other even tan leather vehicles. I plan on doing the same with other vehicles in the future.
I would recommend doing the hose clamps with shrink wrap around them for the remote reservoir. Used the fox provided clamps and had 2 of the bolts snap after a couple years. Thankfully caught them before the reservoirs fell, but it was a pain to remove the snapped bolts before giving up all together and going with hose clamps.
Lookin good. Love new wheel color with the paint color. So glad you got rid of the chrome grille. Stuck out like a sore thumb throughout the whole video. Until the last shot. That TRD pro grille looks way better.
Kevin that's a good way to gauge the clearance (use the belly) I would be way out of spec meaning still to low, lol. Abigail is so cute she's like give me the keys it's not fun with out the vroom! vroom! Kevin you shoulda been a plastic surgeon with all that cutting and no I don't want to be your first patient. Specially like the tool use, what is that? the hammering wrench method hmm what am I saying I've abused tools in the same way, it works doesn't it, lol. Tundra is looking TUFF! and your still not finished, can't wait for part 2. Thanks for Sharing...
That escalated quickly! LOL. Loving the build so far. Thanks for taking us along. I couldn't get over how good that matte PPF looked. I'm sure it looks much better in person. I can't wait to see/hear your thought on the Magnuson. I have the TVS 2650 on mine and love it. Great job as always, looking forward to part II. 👊💪
The XPEL PPF turned out soooo good. It is definitely better in person. So excited to get this supercharger installed but I need some "before" testing too so it's killing me lol
I'm binging all your videos and appreciate your hard work into making these! I'm so interested in the canopy, can you please make a dedicated video on what you like/dislike etc? Information online seems limited on it and i'm definitely interested before purchasing another brand.
Great build, your truck is very very nice. Looking into doing the same, but I don't want to loose the ability of opening the rear window on the Tundra, is there the ability on your truck canopy to make the window next to the rear tuck window fold down? So if you wanted to access your bed from the cab of the truck other than that small sliding window?
Thankfully, you have that xpel film, so when your daughter decides to help by dragging a bolt all the way around the car, it won't actually be scratched.
New to the channel, love the content so far, inspires me to want to start over landing! Not sure if it might be an editing-ism but it seems like a lot of the time when you’re torquing in your fasteners they click right away. You might already know this but if you’ve zipped on your fastener and go to torque it and it clicks right away it’s more than likely over torqued. You should always under tighten and get at least a little rotation out of your torque wrench. Hope this helps! I’m looking forward to exploring more of the content.
Great looking rig so far!! I love it!! FYI, you might want to look at high angle CV boots. When I did the lift on my 1st gen, within 6 months, both front inner CV boots were split (brand new axles). Hindsight being 13/12, now I have to take it all back apart. 285/75's on my baby too. 😉 (Toytec lift with 700# Eibach springs, Bilstein 6100 series threaded body shocks, SPC UCA's, OEM LCA's, 333 Fab cam bolt delete, rear Deaver 3 pack add-a-leaf, Bilstein 5100's)
O. M. G. Nice alternative to new tundra or GX or LC. Really Badass tundra. That SC. Will be all I wait for now. I have a 2019LC200 and 2010LX570. Want to see how your SC does!
I have same truck 2019 TRD sport with same wheels size with +20 offset and fit perfectly no rubbing just took the front flaps off and some plastic mod with heat gun and no issues. Also got the RCI smart cap love it with modularity. I'm traveling with family of 5 and just about enough room but I do ground tent. Love yoir truck and got some ideas from you. Thanks
if you haven't already don't forget to put a transmission cooler on it! this year doesn't come with one and it's never a bad idea to have one, Mishimoto for my 2 cents.
We need to introduce yourself to Dave @ Coach Builder before you start doing all this cutting and trimming. I didn’t do a chop and trimming until I went to 41 14 1/2 x 18 super swamper Irok radials… I’m amazed sitting here watching you cut with skinny 35s my wife’s 2017 with the 3 inch ready lift runs the 285 75 18 Ridge grapplers. And if I read your parts list right if you really went with a supercharger, you gonna be getting towed. Suspension, tires, wheels &topper. I have a four wheel camper type them on mine with 10 inches of lift and 41s on a 2016 tundra with 80,000 miles… most dependable truck I’ve ever owned, get a limited slip in the rear, put a locker put in the front 529 nitro gears… and then all the other stuff… See you in Alaska this year!
Do you guys have a video of how you have outfitted and stocked the expedition voyager trailer? We just picked up ours and we would love to see how you guys have loaded it up.
That box is like a nip slip…. It also sucks n blows at the same time. With all that air flow hopefully Master, first name Flow joins the air relay race.
Wow badass and I love the name Grizz. Does the canopy open from the inside to where you can roll down the tundra back window and climb from the cab to the bed? Excited for this build! Supercharger sure will make it a beast.
+18 offset sticks out like crazy and will rub everywhere. Method offers some +40s in the mr318. Much much better for suspension geometry and fitting larger tires.
+18 has been just right and doesn't even stick the tread outside the wheel well. +40 is factory offset and while it's great for slightly larger tires, contact with the UCA can become an issue.
After your suspension is settled on the Tundra. Remeasure, and you may notice you have "The Tundra Lean" where your driver front suspension will be noticeably 1/4" to 1/2" lower than all other corners.
@@LifestyleOverland I had 37x12.5 and 35x12.5, then I seen this really good comparison video on RU-vid about the Offroad traction gained with the 11.5 vs 12.5 when aired down. So I gave them a shot and it works….
Mostly taught myself while building a VW bug from ages 15-18. Made a lot of mistakes and learned from them. With the Internet these days though, you can learn just about anything. 👍
I'm about to put a leveling kit on my 2011 Sierra so I can hopefully fit some 35's/skinny under without having to use a lift kit. I'm not completely set on 35's but I think I can make it work. These are the vlogs I like most. Expell? Link please? I didn't check before commenting......
