A recount of our 7 day awesome lifestyle visit to The Villages. We explored The Villages by driving the provided golf car over 300 miles, dined many restaurants and bars, looked at many properties, played golf, and visited recreation centers and pools! #thevillages #florida

Hope you enjoyed your visit. We did our own lifestyle visit twice before settling in the North close to Spanish Springs. We now have his and hers carts, hers new , mine rebuilt both from TV Golf Carts.

Hope you enjoyed your Lifestyle visit @ The Villages (TV)! It's nice that TV also includes a golf-car (and 2 bikes as well) at the house...without a golf-car you really couldn't get a full experience as TV is the most golf-car-focused 55+ community I know of. No, people who move there don't NEED one -- they can always drive their car/truck to places instead -- but I would find driving about the MANY miles of golf-car paths/trails at the "leisurely" pace they move (20mph!) a fun thing to do in itself, as fr me the journey is just as important as the destination (no hurry to get anywhere anyway). ...not to mention it would get 3X better City MPG numbers than my truck does! -- BR

The Golf car was great! We put over 300 miles on it exploring TV.

@@BuzzardBob Wow...that's a lot of driving for sure! Of course, like everyone else I have a personal vehicle (mine is a mid-size V6 gas truck) I could use around The Villages (TV) -- and would NEED one if I went outside The Bubble where golf-cars aren't allowed -- but its city MPG numbers aren't that good (EPA says 16 City). Were I to get a golf-car for use in TV, it'd be gas (for several reasons have no interest in electric) and since it would get almost 3X better MPG than my truck, I'd probably leave the truck parked in the garage mostly as I could do 3X the driving for the same cost of gas the truck would use. And since TV has what, 100 miles or so of golf-car paths/trails (?)to explore it'd be way more cost-effective (and fun) to use the golf-car exclusively...even though it takes longer to get anywhere at 20mph. But then what's the hurry? There isn't any. ;-) -- BR

We have her and his carts both Yamaha and both with hard sidesand we travel from our house up by Spanish Springs all the way to the new HS. We enjoy taking our friends on GC rides pool hopping all the way, there and back.
