I really need to change mine, every time I get groceries and when I open the trunk I forget it doesn't open all the way so I always hit my head lol Thanx for the info this will help me.
quick question! its a little off topic but i think u are a good person to ask. i have a 2012 tc, completely stock, but am planning to get a borla axle-back and an intake in the very near future. but i have been very interested in getting some sort of crackle/pop tune. i did a lot of looking into your video on it, but it seems that the forum and tuner is no longer available or something. any updates you can give me? any links or any sort of pointing in the right direction? appreciate it!!!
I'm actually about to go to bed, but if you look up the VF Tuner, it still exists. I also have pictures of the maps that I originally posted to forum in my crackle tune video description. Unless you're running a catless header and mid pipe, I don't recommend a crackle tune as you'll destroy the catalytic converters.
Question for you Derrick, is there any fixes for the play in my shift stick for my 2016? I’ve put on a short shifter from mwr, and Polly bushings. It closed up most of the play but as I’ve put more miles down I’ve noticed it getting slightly more again. Is there something I can do to the shift tower?
Sorry, I'm just seeing this now. If you aleady did the two bushings for the cables on the top of the transmission and the short shifter, you may want to check the bracket extender and make sure it's secure. If that looks good, take off the center console and trace the cables to see if there is any issues there.
Hello Derrick, hey i recently replaced the motor to my sunroof, but now im facing issues with having to reset it. Ive disconnected my battery and tried putting the car on ACC mode and pressing close button for 15+ seconds. Do you have any experience resetting the sunroof? I know it works because it still "clicks". Thanks.
@@pableezie6890 I haven't had any issues with my sunroof to date, so I haven't looked up the process of resetting it. I know I've seen people post about it in Facebook groups. If I find one of those posts, I'll let you know the solution.
I have a pedestal spoiler, that weighs 12 pounds, I got an aftermarket from this company, but it was too STRONG, it violently launched my lift gate and spoiler up, so I just had to use the original. I need stronger than oem , but not tremendously strong. for a 2015 tC
@@VampyreX13 well i mean the part number they sent/vs advertised matched, and they where the proper length, but it just launched my tail gate up and it would go so vigorously and violently shake upon hitting its limit, so hmm.
@@rmat9023 that's weird. Most of the time, users complain that the after market struts are too weak. I've actually talked to several owners that use the Lift Support Depot struts and they had zero issues as well. I recommend reaching out to the seller about the problem you have. I found their direct contact info at www.liftsupportsdepot.com/contact-us/.
Nice! Not sure if you heard, but VFTuner released a tune pack for the tC2, curious on your thoughts on this, given their reputation from the OVtune days. they claim 27whp from a fbo 91 setup, which seems like a strong claim. Nevertheless I'd love to hear how you think their tune stacks up to something line SNP_reflash's solution.
I just recently found out about their tune packs. I'll have to look into it, but I don't have the money to afford buying it just to test out. I'm still pretty happy with my SNP Reflash ECU, though.
It's hard to compare since my old ones were dying, but I think they work just as well. It was freezing temps last night, and the hatch still opened up easily. These also come with a limited 5-year warranty.
