Does the Lift car directly rest on top of Raft foundation OR any thickness of earth /sand cushion shall be there, on which the lift car rests..?

The lift car does not directly rest on top of the raft foundation. There is a layer of sand or cushioning material between the lift car and the raft foundation. This layer helps to distribute the weight of the lift car more evenly over the raft foundation and prevents the raft foundation from sinking.
