Just finished cornharvest yesterday, we put it in a bunk for storage, in the winter the cows get about 40% cornsilage in the feed the rest is grassilage, greetings from a Dutch dairyfarmer
Nice Video Today..... How many acres of corn do you have for silage? ...... and how long do you think it will take to get it all cut and in the new Silo? ..... As Always THANK YOU for bringing us along on Your journeys........
@@david19659 We will combine the rest of the crop and store it for grinding and feeding to the cows. Good thing this year with the price of corn. My sister has a cow calf operation and my other sister lives on a farm that she rents out the land. My Dad always farmed. Otherwise there are still a few family farm operations in the area. So, I answered both ways.😊
Good to see two of the best brands of forage equipment in action Gehl harvesters and Dion wagons. My dad and i used those 40 years ago when we harvested 250 acres of corn per year. What size silo do you have? What do you feed while filling the silo?
We love the wagons and the harvestor worked great last year but we are having a few issues this year. Getting the bugs out, I guess. We just bought it used last year.
Right hand unload wagons are not very handy. If something goes wrong you will have to run all around the tractor and wagon to get to the blower tractor.@@HollcanaFarm
