The first Liga 9 that I had, I thought was mediocre and thought it was a very overratedcigar. I realize that day I had palate fatigue after having four strong sticks that day. Every subsequent #9 I have had since then has been freakin' wonderful. It is one of my favorites. Up there with Dunbarton Mi Querida Black and Plasencia Alma Fuerte. Whichever one I am havining, at that time, each one is my favorite. So glad I went back to try the 9 again. Thanks for your great videos.

I find it offensive when a shop openly craps on customers who like Acids, and other flavored cigars as though, if you express interest in them, you must not know anything about a quality cigar. Just because I enjoy a Kuba Kuba, does not mean I can't appreciate the sticks that they extol. It's elitism, and it's a way of ego signaling that immediately tells me the person is more full of hot air than what is found at the end of a lit cigar. I have a very nice lounge near me, but because of the reception I received on my first visit after telling the owner I enjoyed an infused or flavored smoke, I decided not to buy into the membership of over $700 per year. His loss, and he's probably not even aware that he's driving potential customers away. I now buy exclusively on the internet.
Thanks for the comment! Infused cigars are in fact sub par products. In every measurable way they are inferior. Poor quality short filler soaked with flavoring is an insult to the premium cigar industry and that’s the reaction you are experiencing, just a misunderstanding is all. In this video you can clearly hear me state that I found it hard to believe a company can be responsible for offing products that differ so extremely between one another. I didn’t “crap” on anyone.. You are free to enjoy any smokes you like, and I hope you can continue to enjoy the acid products. There is something for everyone nowadays!
@@SethsPool You completely missed the points I made, and I suspect most others in the industry would as well. I get it, the industry doesn't want to associate itself with the types of people it perceives as desiring those products, but at the same time, there are people out here who can equally enjoy a flavored cigar as well as a fine hand crafted gem. It's this pretentious attitude that turns me away.
@@ridethepace6005 No sir I certainly understand where you are coming from and agree you should keep doing what you’re doing if it makes you happy. Going to a Ferrari dealership asking for a Civic and then getting frustrated by the response is to be expected. Best solution is go online (Craigslist) and obtain what you desire that way. Hope you broaden your horizons in the future, there are some mind blowing blends nowadays that have a better flavor profile than any product artificially flavored on the market. All the best!
@@SethsPool If I walk into a Fararri dealership, and they also happen to have Civics on display, I certainly don't expect to be shat on for asking to be shown the Civic. So why offer Acids in the display case, then proceed to make comments about the inferiority of the product? Obviously, because they knew the product sells and they want to reap the profits. That's called wanting to have your cake and eat it too. All of which is irrelevant to the original point, that you conveniently try to avoid, which is that it shouldn't matter to them or to you what I find pleasurable to smoke. Sure, have your view that it is an inferior product, but don't treat the customer as somehow ignorant because they happen to get pleasure from it. Instead, an intelligent business owner would see an opportunity to bring that customer into the fold, and maybe over time win them over to what they see as a more superior experience.
I'm sorry but I think Liga privada are just ok..in fact to me it just like mostly all other New world cigars. with the exception of ( padrons 1926) are nothing but pepper bomb spice and cedar! That's all I ever taste!! I don't want to be a Cuban snob but Cuban cigars offer so much more..I always get cream, coffee coco, earth, very little pepper just so Pleasant to smoke, There are a few new world that are nice and I mean few. So that just my take.
Thanks for the comment! Yes it does make sense that with Cubans being your preferred smoke you wouldn’t care for strong Nicaraguan cigars. Sounds like you would enjoy many Connecticut wrapped cigars instead. Spice and pepper in cigars is delicious especially when paired with an appropriate spirit. That’s when I enjoy those flavors the most! You should try the Arturo Fuente chateau Fuente natural or the diamond crown natural! I bet you would really like one of those! Thanks for sharing!!
I just dont understand why people still love these so much when there are just so many better Broadleafs out there nowadays... Still good but not at that price imo
Thanks for the comment Nick! So the Liga Privada is still the only blend of its kind. Uniqueness, boldness and exclusivity are some of the main reasons it remains so popular. I have smoked many in my life and personally am never disappointed. Everyone is different though and so are the pallets. I am curious though which other broadleaf smokes you’re referring to that you find to be superior. I’d love to give them a go myself!
