Light 💡 bulb is on. Pentatonic scale everywhere.. Bryan Adams, Pink Floyd, ZZ Top

Obvious really but didn’t dawn on me with Bryan Adams at first.
Incidentally, a light ‘bulb’ is actually a ‘lamp’. Bulbs are buried and grow in to flowers. They only got named a bulb due to the shape resembling an actual organic bulb. Sure, they are bulbous at the bottom too.
So, a lamp is the correct term for whst you know as a bulb. Just saying, Institute of Lighting Professionals former member. Rant over lol 😂

Blows my mind too. There are millions of different songs, but only 12 notes 🤔...and I don't have the ability to put them together nicely very much 😂

My light bulb pentatonic moment came when I was listening to Zeppelin, and suddenly realised the opening of the Stairway solo is pure pentatonic scale🤟🏻🤟🏻

I’ve been playing some of these scales myself without realising it, I was quite surprised when I did realise, I’d learnt some scales without actually learning scales 😂😂, it was easier than trying to learn them, was for me anyway 😂, 👍👍🤠🎸

I should really take a few music lessons. I have no idea around theory despite the fact I can play a lot of different songs by ear!

@@thenovicenoisemaker it’s ‘a’ talent but so is having information about theory and putting it into practice which really is a development point for me and you seem pretty good at that. Like it’s clear you’ve gone out and widened your knowledge which is great :)
