Studio lighting a still life subject to invoke mood narrative and emotion.
Using one Profoto studio flash unit and a little ingenuity I’ll show how to create a classic background for a variety of subjects.
Plus, some tips and tricks with gel’s and diffusion materials to help your studio photography to another level.
I'll use a Canon DSLR tethered into Capture One to show you the iterations from basic image to completed photograph.

The tripod is a Manfrotto 475B Pro Geared Tripod and the head is a Manfrotto 410 Junior Geared Head.

Your videos and explanation are fabulous. I have noticed in most you do not use curves, levels, masks and hardly ever use sharpening. I assume you are happy with the photo from the get go and feel you don't need further processing? What is your opinion of using further processing tools?

I use levels and other processing on occasion when required. I am no purist, and take advantage of all the digital processing techniques at my disposal when the image requires it. Thanks for watching.

What is the object ?

The objects are three lenses and a small prism. Or did you mean the object of the image? The object of the image is to illustrate how you can make an interesting background for any curved shiny subject.
