Unfortunately, I was unable to find grey strands at the time. We thought the lighter hair would show at least how light it will look.

No you can use what you have at home:)

Henna cannot lighten hair, so using a lighter color henna on dark brown hair won't change the color. Using a red henna can give red tones, but the lighter browns cannot do that.

Hi Ilaria, you absolutely may use light brown if you have used Auburn. It will give you a richer color:)

I have also used auburn and it is too red. If I use light brown, will it turn more brown?

Minimum time for the next application is 72 hours. However, it really depends on how fast your hair grows. The color doesn't really fade like a traditional chemical dye would. I personally wait about 2 months in between applications. -Hilary
