I honestly don’t see it that way at all.. Ultimate has a huge roster and certain matchups can be very punishing, even if one of the characters is considered low tier and the other isn’t fox’s frame data is insane and he’s obviously a very powerful character overall, but he’s super lightweight whereas Ganon is heavy and can delete fox’s stocks with one or two good hits even at low-mid %s
@@lokks2130 well yeah it's a weird ass set. Low tier ass Ganon beating the best fox player who even back then was arguably top 10. It's not something you see everyday. It's like seeing HBox's Melee Ness beat Mang0's Falco it's just stranhe but the fact he's doing so good proves that he's able to move past his missteps and grow from them to become a stronger player.
What a great tweet by that fan. It was respectful but at the same time holding Light accountable for his actions with a sincere criticism. Showing he cares and still calling him to action.
it’s either like some dude who’s joking or a young kid on twitter legit throwing his heart at light. Either or, Light went beast mode after that tweet was out 💪
No but i am saying if he saw he must have felt bad. I mean maybe the specific tweet didn’t give him drive, but possibly there were a lot of people who said similar things and that probs gave him motivation. But then again many people look back at what they have done and maybe he noticed it himself and said “i need to prove these people wrong”
Light tweeted recently, with an image of that tweet, "The only person to ever have a hold over me," or something along those lines, meaning he definitely did see that tweet and he definitely did take it to heart.
Light is literally the definition of Ultra Instinct. He has insane reaction, timing and precision. Most importantly, its is his sheer will power. He has the perfect traits for playing Fox. He's literally as quick and strong and determined as the main character of Star Fox
"32 second stretch" and "18 landing aerials" in the same sentence is shockingly quick gameplay, especially considering that he seems to consider his timing and mixups for each and every one and, as a result, none of these were punished in the moment. Actual anime character in real life, seeing the battle in slow motion (like we did in the video) is the only explanation XD
Man the quality on this channel is incredible. I legitimately feel like watching a TV sports show. Content of this kind is what makes a game feel like an eSports !
What’s interesting about Fox in Ult is that Japan always thought far more highly of the char than NA did. They thought this before Light became known for eliminating Japanese players(bar Shuton) in bracket, or even before Paseriman rose to prominence as a top 15-20ish level player in the JPN scene. Fox having those buffs plus doing well against most of the DLC outside of Terry and Steve went a long way for the char imo. Also some matchups like Joker became easier due to nerfs.
@@lokks2130 the joker MU doesn't even matter anymore there isn't a single decent consistent joker at Top level, the character just is too difficult in a tournament environment sometimes
@@morgydee Just because Zackray is on hiatus and Leo doesn't use Joker anymore, doesn't make the char inconistent at all. The other Joker's like Marss, Emass, or Omega just need to grind and improve Like Leo showcased an insane level of dominance with Joker, and Zackray was conistently top 3 in Japan with Joker when he wasn't on hiatus.
The Slow-mo shows that Light’s performance isn’t a fluke. You can see where he intentionally fast falls or adjusts his drift to whiff bait. Light is so good that he makes me dislike fox 🥲🥲🥲🥲 I’m a MKsexo fan but light has shot into my top 5 fav players. To do what he has been doing with Fox is incredible. The precision, speed, and timing you need to play this character at a top 5 elite level is nuts! Light is Fox, Fox is Light!
8:46 I absolutely love this sequence. Double jumping to avoid a punish after a whiffed aerial seems like an obvious choice in hindsight, but every time I watch this clip, the double jump catches me completely off guard. It's the kind of option that only Light would choose.
Loved that video. Sometimes I'm a bit annoyed by the implied statement that Correlation = Causality with a given set of data, but here it was really well exposed and explained. The visuals and chosen data were really relevant.
It's crazy how well that tweet aged lol Sometimes I wonder just how much impact it had on light... Maybe it wasn't much but I know that tweet had something to do with his insane comeback to tournaments
U gotta stop blaming your character bro. Ur my fav player but be honest. You’ve been flopping. U hit a slump during rona era. You’re good just not at the level you were pre rona and now ur not making top8 at big tournaments. You’re scared. Embrace it. Practice more. I believe
His run at a crews battle years ago is to this day one of my favorite runs ever. He had to take on Leo, he did so but with only one stock, had to take on Zackray after and he clutched it
@@enny1125 I agree Tweek seems to struggle lately. Still an incredible player, better than I could ever dream to be, no doubt about it, but not top 5 material tbh. I'm tempted to say Acola from Japan. But we still need to see how well he does against the west. The 5th place is up for the taking I think. There are a couple potential candidates like Kola, Dabuz, Chag, Maister, Gakt, Zomba... And of course Acola in my opinion. Maybe in the upcoming majors we will see someone be notably more consistant than the others. It needs to be someone that can actually beat the other top 4 occasionally.
I'm going to get flack for saying it, but his grind and honestly training with Nairo was what helped him improve so quick. Nairo is a phenomenal coach post controversy. Every player he's trained with/coached has improved exponentially. Cosmos won a major, Riddles has hit multiple top 8s/16., Nakat made it into Summit. Clearly training with his friends has clearly worked for him.
1:45 Honestly, from the start of this video Light kinda sounds like the kind of player beginners beat to be put on the map, kind of how the Powerhouse in a Five Man Band is constantly the one who gets beaten by the main villain in order to show how powerful the villain. I could be mistaken, though so far that is how he is being described. 4:40 okay, so far it seems that my assumption is correct.
Imo light is the best American player in the world atm. He’s a player that will take in criticism and use it as fuel. Other players will trash talk you but he earned my respect by proving it on the sticks. Although the streets will never forget the Nairo reverse 3 game on light.
Everyone needs to learn what port forwarding is. Wifi is an impractical toss-up without it, and always has been in literally every online game, ever. You can have latency free wireless with it, and without it even your wired internet can be garbage. Additionally, when the Nintendo Switch reaches ~34 degrees celcius, buffer lag becomes more noticeable, ruining combos or out of shield options.
And that's what happens when you get bodied. One random is in control of your life. Doesn't matter what you say or do, because none of the glory is yours. Failures are never forgotten, after all. To the Twitter user who posted that tweet; do not forget that at any time you can shake down Light for everything he has, and you won't be stopped.
