Light & Prisma Visions Tarot Comparison & Walkthrough

I watched this video because I wanted to decide which one to get but now I have to get both... my bank account is definitely not happy but I definitely am😂

I’d need both, and all the extra cards. I would totally mix my favorites into one deck as well.

Great overview. I have to agree with you; if I was to only use one I would probably grab The Light Visions. But for me the real beauty is using the two decks in tandem. For instance you could use The Prisma Visions for the elements in your general spread and The Light Visions for the rest. Or Vice Versa. Take the past life spread and use The Light Visions for the pyramid and then the Prisma for the four additional side cards. The possibilities are endless. Light/shadow, Majors Only/Minors. Ect.

I absolutely loved how you got to learn more about the decks and their personalities. I could practically feel you bonding closer and closer with both decks as you passed through, looked at every detail, and read the story 😊

Thank you for reminding me of my earlier loves :D I am almost disappointed at how glossy the cards are still. The first edition Light Vision is soooo beautifully matte, that when I finally received The Prisma Vision from his KS campaign, I was disappointed at how glossy the cards were, and how "faded" the dark blue was (I somehow had it in my mind a stark dark dark blue on matte matte cards when I saw his images online). Having said that, I have been too afraid to use my Light Vision because getting it was a real mission. This edition you showed us here will provide me with an option for a "work horse" copy :D I also heard that the colours in the 3rd edition Prisma Vision appear more crisp and saturated. Not sure (I only have the 1st ed, like the one you showed here). If I do decide to get these editions LV and PV, I will dig out my other copies and do comparison videos. I agree with you about the LV. I prefer it too in many ways! Thanks again Kelly, great walkthrough, as always!

I just received what was supposed to be the Prisma Visions tarot from an eBay seller, but as soon as I opened the package, it was obvious that it was a fake reproduction: the cards were small, it came in a cheap tuck-box, and there was no book. (Surprisingly, the edges *were* gilded in silver, though.) Even so, shame on me; I should've known that the price was too good to be true. Despite that, the images were so beautiful that I really wanted to have the real deal, so I ordered it from James Eads' Amazon listing. I can't wait to have the full-sized cards to contemplate (and the actual book that accompanies them!). Although I definitely prefer the gorgeous colors of the Prisma Visions, I was surprised at how much I also enjoyed the simplicity of the Light Visions as well. Thanks for this walkthrough! ❤

With this comparison what REALLY stands out is ….Prisma Visions looks like stunning 19th Cent ART, pure art. The B&W Light Visions looks like hmmmm more like a modern definitely graphic novel type art…..wood block print? So yea…..HUGE different in style imo:….yea you can at times see “more” or can see more clearly I guess with no color. But the Prisma is just….stunning art.

I have the Light Vision (not sure which edition - it is super matte - almost too hard to shuffle, but completely wonderful.) My Prisma vision is the 5th edition... SUPER gloss. Completely in love with both of them.

I have that same cleaver. Video is great by the way, I was looking for a good run down of the decks because I just purchased them and they're on the way now to my house. Watching this I know now that I made the right decision. Thank you for the in depth video and quality content.

Thanks for the walkthrough. I was a long-time holdout with these decks. Was conflicted about the Impressionistic artwork because it's not my fav and also about the Swords suit (my most beloved suit), but those Majors kept calling to me. lol I bought both at the same time (2nd Ed. Light/3rd Ed. Prisma) and I just *adore* them now. I especially love the Prisma -- the color palette is so striking. Again, those Majors...

I was debating what deck I would get and this video helped me choose. I'll be the proud owner of the light set in about a month, I ordered right when they left for summer vacation.

First edition Light Visions came in a wooden tarot box, specially made to go with the deck. The box is beautiful.

I just bought both decks. I had originally bought the 2nd Prisma edition; however I am having my house remodeled and I am lucky that I can find myself. The deck is lost.

So glad I found this. I was set to buy Prisma Visions but I think Light Visions would be the 1 if I could only have 1. (Of course, I will eventually buy the other!) I agree that Light Visions is more story book and that makes it more poignant for me.

I recently ordered this deck. I had a RWS deck many many years ago in my teen years and this one looks very different. It's so beautiful. Does it feel and read very differently?

It’s so interesting that close up I prefer the black and white deck but far away I much More prefer the colored one. Aah!!

I love matte cards too but as far as i know most factories cannot put that type of gilding on matte cards. So you end up choosing matt cards with a matt gold/silver gilding or glossy cards with very shiny gilding. Bummer i hope they figure it out soon.

This is the first time I have watched your videos. I was actually trying to decide between these two decks. and while this was helpful, I was most interested in the spread you were using to demo them toward the end. You did Present, Past, Future, and the elements but not sure what the last 2 cards laid were. Do you have a video or post about this spread?

hello, I enjoy your comparison, and I can't make a choice ^^. So I bought them both. Im used to Camoin/Jodorowski Tarot deck for now. It's really different from these two. Can you advise me some readings or videos watching to learn deeply into these two decks? Is the little book which comes with them is enough? Maybe you can advise me on general tarot readings/videos ? Im french btw, so i will watch if there's a traduction of what you will recommend to me. If you know if it's available in french too, i'll choose for french. I'm practically fluent in english, but I have some lacks in technical tarot terms. Thanks in advance for my demand, and keep doing great videos !!

I recently got the Prisma Visio deck and am absolutely in love with it!🥰💛 However, I made the mistake of not buying it directly on the artist’s site which was a lot cheaper but I didn’t get the Guidebook with it :/ As a beginner that would be really helpful to me but if I’d buy it separately the shipping would be three times the amount of the actual prize... Any idea how and where I could get the guidebook or maybe download it?

Your telling me that there’s a sudden stop in the borders. The deck is utterly stunning but taking out the borders halfway did not seem like the right move. If they were gonna take out the borders for the minor arcana, they should have never done any for the major in the first place. Hopefully a version without any borders throughout the deck will come out one day. But great walkthrough!!! 🤔💞💞
