Joe and I headed down to a spot on a bit of a species hunting mission. Joe got his target fish whilst I picked up some really interesting in my attemps to catch a cuckoo wrasse!

Another great vid but I don't know what's going on with the fishing in South Devon currently, last year there was no end of mackerel down in dartmouth and now, well it's very sparse and the only thing I'm able to catch is bass and some blenny, caught my first 3 bass ever and got a PB today at roughly 6lbs guess it's not bad that they are the only thing around

Awesome. Fantastic day. Some lovely fish. But at 9mins you catch a slender "pouting" looking at the dorsal and anal fins, it looks to be a poor cod as they don't over lap/line up.

Thanks mate, its a proper little aquarium down there! You're right, it's not the most comfortable of fishing spots is it 😂 tackle hungry too! The things we do for mini species 😂🎣

Whereabouts did you manage to find those gulp isome because I've been looking for them for around a month and all the popular online lure stores don't sell them , just wondered if you found it in one of the local shops down here

What a cracking venue - you don’t know what’s coming next. Did the stinger experiment work?

Yeah amazing little spot isnt it. The stinger didn't actually hook many fish but it did get the rock cook, plus a dragonet at the weekend, so definitely worth having for certain situations 🙂

Great Ringneck. Has given me high hopes for my trip there Saturday. Assuming I can beat the hordes of Goldsinny. Those lice things are horrific. I've seen a few of them suckered onto Corkwings I've had off the breakwater there.

Cheers I'm sure it be a great day. I have a question about the Ringneck Blenny, is that just a individual thats lost its way or have they followed things like Gilthead and Couches Bream up here?

The ringneck question is an interesting one, my mate Ben caught one in Cornwall a couple of years ago and more interestingly, I caught another a few days after filming this video from the exact same spot. Changing times I'd say?

Thanks mate. Weymouth was a brilliant day but the fishing was tough, the winner had 12 species, I managed to scrape out 7. Hard going!
