My channel is all about lure fishing, mostly LRF with some freshwater ultralight fishing and a bit of HRF fishing too. Most of my fishing is done in Devon, although I do like to make the odd trip across the border into Cornwall and occasionally Dorset 👍🎣
Where do you get such a variety of isome rag from I’ve looked on the typical sites like Amazon and there’s never a large selection? Ps-Keep up the great videos🎣
@@PestPopperUK apologies for the outright promotion, but you can get hold of most of that lot from our online shop - The Big Lerf Tackle Shop 🙂 thank you! 🎣
I can see youre using the Decoy SG-3 SS, is there an alternative as they aren't that easy to get hold of! Also what size would be a good all rounder? Thanks!
@@stour9461 yeah I'm a big fan of the SG-3's, I don't think there is a direct alternative to them. I think the fact they are a fine wire, super sharp and have a big eye so they fit on a cheb make them quite unique, the bait keeper barbs are handy too. We do have them in stock over on the Big Lerf Tackle Shop 🙂🎣
@@DevonLerfer thank you. I have just sent a request to join. I’ve fished all my life and love the fact that the LRF community leave the egos behind and take as much pleasure from other peoples success as their own. Shame most other branches of our sport, which I also love, seem to have lost that.
@@scottpoulter9164 have just approved your request mate, welcome 🙂 yeah we love the unique vibe that the LRF community brings, hopefully that can spread into other areas of fishing over time 🤞🎣
@@stephenjackson1828 cheers Steve, yeah I was glad to catch that early run, it's been very quiet on the pelagics generally since then! They'll be back soon though I reckon 🤞🎣
@@alanfielding3491 thanks mate, it was a fun session, a shame the mackerel seemed to disappear shortly afterwards! Unlucky on your blank, hopefully you'll put that right next time out 🤞🎣
Very much enjoyed this, I scale down for the Aquarium on occasion and I have to say the fishing is just as exciting. Lovely footage, all the best from west penwith...
@@barleyarrish thanks very much for the kind words! I get just as excited fishing for the mini species as the other stuff, if not more so 🙂 all the best 👍🎣
@@JamieFowler-xl5vx Hi Jamie, Swanage is a great multi species venue so you can fish for all sorts, various wrasse, blennies, gobies etc close, there are bass, mackerel garfish and bream to be had on the outside plus lots of other stuff. The fun is in trying different stuff to see what works, so stuff like isome will guarantee bites, but it's worth throwing small metals and soft plastics around to see what else you can pick up 👍
Great wee video there. Just back from there a week now, never took my LRF this time as spent too much time last year in Lanzarote on the rocks, I use a HTO rock rover for hols. There is a little tackle shop called Pesquera y Navales about 50 mins walk along the front road from Adeje in Los Christianos
Thank you! I'm usually limited to short sessions early in the morning but have loved my LRF trips abroad! I have the rock rover too but Abu Garcia Diplomat has been fantastic!
Thank you for the kind words, I'm glad you enjoyed watching! The rod I'm using to start with is a Tailwalk Ajist, rated up to 5g and the other rod is a Major Craft Truzer, which is rated up to 7g 👍🎣
I really enjoy your podcasts. Its great to hear about new products, new areas, techniques and also your feedback on how the lerfing community is growing. So good 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Well done on getting the grouper out the snag. I woulda already been in by that point! Also realised we’ve been getting those sharp nose puffer wrong it’s ‘Macaronesia’ I blame Scott.
No just did a bit of research before I came mate and species guru Scott Hutchison has been very helpful with identifying some of the ones I've not been sure about !
@@jorvikangler yeah I enjoyed not knowing what I was going to catch next! Lost a few but not as many as I often lose at some of my favourite marks in the UK 😅 I think the lack of weed helps there
