Spoiler for this match and losers top 8 qualifier Crazy maister finally did better than Miya just to lose to one of his best matchups and immediately lose his next match to miss top 8 lol
If Maister has a million haters, I’m one of them If Maister has 1 hater, it’s me If Maister has no haters, I’ve died If everyone is with Maister, I’m against the world Till my dying breath, I’ll hate on Maister Maister if you’re reading this, rewatch the set and get good and I hope you have a no-good very mid day
@@Meroknight no llores amiguito.
As a g&w main, my character is SOOO overrated. The problem is you have to know the matchup very well and play around our janky moves. We can't land. He's floaty plus air dodge and tech animations are laggy af. So if you play reactively to his landing options, there are only 2. 1. Drift away and recover low. By far our best option, but keep in mind that he's so light that a strong 2 frame option will kill at like 40. And getting out of the corner is all we think about once we take 50 damage. 2. Use the key. We can also key to fall fast or to challenge an aerial from below, which is a bad but strange move that nobody understands. First, it's an extra skinny hitbox unless it gets casted closer to the floor and you get the landing hitbox. So it's easily punished from the side in the air. Also, it's scary to interact with because if you get hit by the weak hit, he reverses it into a juggle situation, but you absolutely have to challenge this move if you want to have a good advantage state against this character. The most common way for us to use the key is at a certain height that we all have memorized. At this height the key will cancel right before we hit the ground so we can act immediately. If you learn this height, you will know whether you need to shield or dodge to punish the immense endlag (which we hardly take the risk of using), OR challenge the key directly. Because, the endlag on the key is much longer than the active frames, so it looks active and scary, but actually gnw is very exploitable, locked into an animation and you can hit him with whatever you want. That's just the most important move to play around, because it allows you to match his advantage state, and most decent characters do better than him in neutral. But don't get me started on all the jank that "covers" his weaknesses. Bomb, up b, and to a much lesser extent chef, are all moves that get way more value than they should because people don't understand them. Oh and DEFINITELY nair, but you basically have to play gnw to be able to tell when the nair is punishable by the animation.
@@lokks2130 Not against shielding. That's what grab is for. Against literally anything else. It goes straight through nair which is G&W's only good move in neutral
@@davidquintanilla9330 Don't forget to mention his garbage killpower along with his horribly light weight. It is an awful combo to have and the same thing which holds Sheik back so hard, because you just have to outplay your opponent tenfold to even stand a chance while they obliterate your stock at 40. I think I saw Maister take a single stock off SHADIC that wasn't above like 130%, because he got a hard read edgeguard. G&W is a wet noodle
@@patrickreyna9869 eeeeh tipper can feel inconsistant sometimes (for better or usually worse), and honestly swordies end up kinda feeling samey to me with walling airials (definitely a me thing tho, i know people eat it up lol). That being said I would say him and lucina are more honest than most. and hey, if you mean honest as in you know they're gonna go for their win con, every character is honest! :)
