LIGHTENING MY HAIR NO BLEACH & NO DAMAGE 

I thought “this lady knows what shes doing” because these are too many steps that only a professional would do. Then she said she went to beauty school. It turned out amazing!!! Following her because Im still not even 40, but I definetely want to look like her when Im 50!

I have got to tell you that you look PHENOMENAL GRAY!!! For anybody of African heritage watching, I tried Color Oops years ago and took one look in the mirror and started screaming---my hair turned baby blue 🤣😂🤣this scared the hell out of me!! Took all kinds of moves to bring it back to normal.

Very informative. I have thin fragile hair and was a former hairdresser. So much has changed from when I went to school. I was always able to lighten my hair from brown to blonde just with colour and no bleach. Now I am grey but go to a salon for colour. I was so happy to hear of these new products. I finally grew out my gray thanks to covid and surprise.....its not gray its platinum. A gorgeous color that I didn't know I was covering up.

Did you know that Dawn dish soap, Prell shampoo removes the color that has been deposited at the salon or from a box. Wash like usual let stay in your hair like you would a conditioner then scrub again. Rinse. Youll see the suds are fulled with the color you are removing. It takes a few times but it seems like it evens out if you add it. Much healthier proccss?

Some people can rock gray hair, but others, it really adds years. Personal preference of course.

I don't know if you know, but those color removers have bleacher them. It's 10 volume bleach, so to say that you're lightning. Your hair with no bleach is false. I still love your content in your hair turned out gorgeous

Minus the grey journey, this was literally me over and over and over until I decided "I'm going blonde and staying blonde" about gosh like 5 or 6 years ago now, maybe more. If I even slightly try to go with a shadow root, I end up hating it. So, I stay within my desired lightness level and just play around with different toners if I want a change. That way I can be bright for summer, and appear a bit deeper in the cooler months. I don't have to use bleach, hair color works just fine for me now. My OCD will not tolerate my grays on a dark color base, I just cannot do it! It's like they are there overnight- I swear! And honestly, I adore being blonde. I feel like blonde adds brightness and spark to the face - you look fantastic in blonde!

For most people, it's best to use color oops from the tips upward as the ends are the most saturated with dye molecules. However since you wanted to get rid of the dark roots and not so much your lighter color, the way you did it was fine. It does smell horrible (Its sulfur based so think rotten eggs) and it is drying but no where near as damaging as bleaching. I also agree with another person down below that stated she used protein filler and waited a week. After using this product your hair shaft is wide open and absorbs dye too quickly causing the color to be much darker than intended and your back to step one. Let it rest even if it looks a little brassy. The final results will be so much better.

I tell all my clients who have a significant amount of grey to go lighter. Quick tip, mix the colour first then cut the tip. Olaplex is a highly concentrated product. You could probably use about 1/2 to 1 inch. Rub it in your hand and it will stretch. Love your videos 😊

Scruples color delete works really well without the stink or the long rinsing-out process. I follow up with a weak bleach wash too to make sure the color molecules don't re-oxidize...

As a blonde you're just like every other blonde, but the salt and pepper natural plus the hair style makes you stand out it's a beautiful eye stopper, in a good way

6:55 if you squeeze the bottle just a bit to let some air out- before putting your finger on the tip and shaking, it won't squirt out. (A tip I learned as a hairstylist.) 😘💕

I love my grey hair. I just use purple shampoo a couple times a week to brighten it up and keep it conditioned. I’ve colored my hair, many colors my entire life but I’m 61 and it’s time to except my change.

I am a profesional Hairdresser. We don’t use a strong formulation for the stubborn grey hair …as to be used all over our hair. That’s creating chemical over processing and that’s another reason why the color wont stay. Formulation is only accurate while using the correct measurements. Oils applied in color formulation can change the results, the color and results. Healthy hair keeps color for more time than 2 weeks. I don't have much gray yet but this is actually the reason I stopped coloring my hair dark. The gray blends in with highlights but against dark hair it just pops. It's kind of sad because I loved coloring my hair really dark, I thought it was sexy. But you do what you have to do.

Girl I totallly get ya! I did the exact thing a month a go!!! I had the exact same color as you were and I got highlights I liked for awhile then same root problem happened, so I bleached my hair myself and turned out perfectly! I just used a toner Wella T11 and I love it! Its a nice bright blonde. I didn't want that grey looking white hair, this suits me way better. Now my greys can grow in and I don;t have to do my roots that often. But you no what being so light I do notice I have lots of dark hair coming thru too…go figure when I was dark haired my roots were sooo gray! What the hell????

Oh no, I have the exact same problem. Whenever I touch up my roots, it ruins my blonde highlights. It helps a lot to saturate the highlights with conditioner to protect them before you put on the base color.

Hi Lisa, Thank You for such a detailed video, and the results are beautiful. I am newly struggling with gray roots, I've been dying my own roots but getting pro blonde highlights...it's not easy, I'm learning...I am so confused about how you removed color but got to be blonde...if you removed color, wouldn't you be gray? I searched the comments to try to find the answer, but it's driving me crazy.

I went blonde two years ago and probably won't go back. I'm also all grey, mostly on top of my head, so my roots always showed. With darker hair, I had to touch up more often. Now that I'm an ash blonde, my roots blend in better and I could go longer between touch ups. It is a lot of maintenance but it's worth it not to have to color so often.

I found this post online today and watched the entire thing. I bought everything that I need and I am going to be doing this tomorrow. I colored my hair dark about two months ago and I have so much gray coming in that it’s embarrassing at this point. I have always had very light hair and I am excited to see how this turns out. Back in the sixties, I used Aphogee on my bleached blonde hairshow models. It's absolutely the best protein treatment on the market today. You are the first person that I've heard of lately that uses Aphogee products. Most hairdressers have never even heard of that brand.

I have always had wavy dry hair so when I started lighting mine the guy at the salon didn't believe that I used conditioner. Then I finally said it's curly you know! He didn't believe me, so he diffused my hair and that showed him. I have to after shampoo use almond old then nice conditioner to achieve soft hair, curly or straight. Oil is are great. It's pricey but I am using Alfredo Milania sp? or conditioning Function of Beauty, tried that over black Friday. Making a fabulous difference still using oils! You are beautiful

You should try Cold Pressed Wheat Germ Oil, it contains a lot of good nutrients including Vitamin - E.

Same exact problem over here💯 That spray root touch up- is really fast and convenient for those stubborn grey hairs. I call them tinsel🤣😜 that oops color stuff isn't bad for your hair at all. I thought it was going to suck the moisture from the Antarctic when I used it. Nope! It didn't😜🤣

I did the Oops, I followed the directions to the letter. I was removing PINK and planned to get back to natural & try a Lavender color. What I got was pale Pink, which was actually what I wanted 2 years ago when I first went pink. Soooo what's my main complaint besides the fact it didn't work well? The nasty perm smell that was still evident after 6 washes! Faint but still there. I'd not bother with it since vitamin C & shampoo mixed with Dawn dish soap did just as well & no stink.

When I did this process I also used a neutral protein filler and let the hair rest for about a week, then colored it. I sure like the idea of all the oil and moisture your using!! Just used this to take out purple ghost roots with blonde ends and it faded to blue. Lol. So now i have blue and white hair. Lmao. Probably gonna use some strip trease by guy tang after i do a baking powder method and vitamin c method cuz both wont bleach my hair and strip tease will. I do have to do my roots but i dont want to bleach over the areas that are already bleached to white under the blue. Might have to put a peach or orange to negate all the blue. Then i can finally do my christmas colors of silver, red, and green. Im excited to do it.
