I just built the lightest BMX (Elite level) wheels I've ever seen! Lighter wheels is the first upgrade if you want to improve your acceleration in BMX racing or any discipline at that. I think these Berd spokes are so rad! It's fun to nerd out every now and then.

Strip the powder coat off the hub and remove decals from rim to save some grams. Or just get an anodized hub onyx hub

You missed the lighter wheel being due to the fact of missing material in the hub. Still, it is insignificant...LOL. Good stuff as always.

Why didn’t you use nipple washers? I thought they were necessary for carbon rims. Looking forward to an update vid on these wheels!

Nope. I’ve been running carbon for years and on all my bikes. Mtb and bmx. Never used washers
