So it actually sounds very mystical in the end. I really expected them to drop something more cyberpunk'ish but I'm glad they kept to good old sci-fi/fantasy mix. It almost sounds like Awoken expansion honestly. I am happy.
I love how the music has both the accents of the Darkness, as well as the Cabal, then with the new Lightfall twists imbetween. Could be my favourite music so far!
Something destiny's music is amazing at and always has been amazing at is being able to weave entire narratives and tell fairly complex stories so let through the music that anyone can pick apart and interpret if they seek to.
The music most definitely evokes the feeling of change. You seemingly have the themes of Neomuna, The Darkness and The Cabal interlaced with a somber tune that does not give one shred of hope, further cementing the feeling that we've all had since Lightfall was announced, that something is about to go very wrong. I also think with such a crucial chapter in the story of Destiny the absence of the Guardians theme means we are about to lose.
that one part where zavala said, “guardian, we can’t let the light fall” was so impactful and it really just summed up the story beats for the whole expansion. awesome
@@gowen7889 I do. Its called lore. We already know what the Traveler is (the rule added to the flower game by the Gardener) and what its purpose is (promoting complexity). We also know the Traveler itself is a conscious and considers the sphere to be its literal body and consciouness thanks to dreams of Alpha Lupi and Constellations. There's also the leaks, but theres no use to get into that. The Witness didnt come out of no where. We knew there was an entity using the darkness (The Formless One/Witness) way back in D1 Y1. The only thing that would ever point to there being an entity behind the Traveler is the Veiled Statue and a scrapped cinematic from the original Destiny storyline that was rebooted prior to its launch.
@@BooshZero Has the same backtrack as The Man They Call Cayde, but the melody is completely different and a different tempo. I’m just going to chalk this up as “the composer has a very similar style and sometimes they re-use/re-create the same sounds in their music”. It just wouldn’t make sense to reference a song dedicated to a character that has been dead for years and has not appeared in any of the promotional material or leaks.
Guardians, this is the time to fight against the very thing that is threatening our home the last city. Show no mercy and may the light be with us all. Devotion inspires bravery and bravery inspires sacerfice,
I got real sick real fast of the Witch Queen title music yeah, and i havent even been playing much, lol. I literally press X, then hold the PS button so i dont have to hear anything 🤣
@@kevindew123 It's mainly the start of the track that becomes stale over time, but that's to be expected. The last half of the track still goes very hard.
Michael Salvatori has done it again. This is a great title screen music to start our end. It brings the Traveler's soothing voice to the classic Darkness theme, followed by cabal drums showing the real threat is here. I am waiting for this to drop on Spotify
This is like one of the big things I look forward to each expansion. After listening to the same intro music for a year I’m very happy when we get a new one. Also music is different when your hovering over the game on the home screen too.
This is it...The moment we have all been waiting for since we were revived in the cosmodrome after the first collapse happened in D1. We face the most powerful enemy threat ever to exist in Destiny. All Ends Are Beginnings guardians. I'm ready 😎
After seeing those last shots in the launch trailer, I’m starting to wonder if that moment was staring us in the face in the Lightfall logo for months now…
I love this screen and theme a lot more than the Witch Queen one, I felt like this one had more variety and uplifting points contrasting the doom, instead of a sense of dread in everything
I might be the only one but... the initial buildup music gave me some pretty big Warframe vibes, with the vocals and the overall sense of mystery and serenity.
@@yeeb I believe the "track list" was the one that was leaked, I've been scouring youtube for the past few days now and haven't found the entire thing yet.
