Lighting Coil Install GX200 

For the predator I picked up the coils from a gx200 from eBay but couldn't find the flywheel with magnets. I found an old Robin engine with 4 magnets I salvaged two and adhered them to the original predator flywheel using JB weld (the other two where destroyed during the removal process). There was a clearence between the flywheel and the coils was an issue the predators flywheel has a gap of 122 mm between weights the Honda is 125 mm I had no issue with the gap between the magnets 132 mm. Tried to have it machined but no one could (or wanted) to do it. So I picked up two mounted points 60 grit and with my drill spent 3 hours grinding down 1.5 mm from each one of the weights on the flywheel ended up with a 125.3 mm gap and it Worked!! Now my go kart has lights.

Can you power Polaris hand warmers or a specific set of hand warmers with this coil?

Did you need a different flywheel for the charge coils ? im guessing you would need extra magnets on there since the stock one just has the ignition coil magnets on there.

So what I'm perceiving is for the dual coil setup, only 1 wire is plugged in and the other will be considered a ground?

what rectifier are you using with them coils?

You can use mopped 4 wire bridge regulator

Probably a stupid question but I have a Honda gx160 and it has an electric start but the electric start does not work and I want to take it off and just put a kill switch on it instead (engines for a mini bike ) anyways my question is do you need the charging coil if you are only using the pull start? Or is the charging coil only used if you are using a battery and electric start? Just trying to figure out how to simplify the wiring got me all confused

Hey buddy my engine gx390 has only 1 wire coming out from the charging coil , I test the ac voltage and is around 30vac , can add a regular rectifier to it by using the only wire and a ground wire so I can get constant 13 or 14vdc ?

I looked into adding two coils like you did to my GX240 honda snowblower. I wanted a power source for a headlight. I didnt proceed with the project because I was told you need a 3 magnet flywheel to power the 12v 50 watt coils and my stock flywheel has 2 magnets. Did your coils work with the 2 magnet flywheel?
