Really, thank you for this. I’m a 34 years old autistic adult, I use high-end cosmetics, and I couldn’t get the look I always see online. Two weeks ago I found out, that many use filters, and that a lot depends on the light. Now I don’t feel bad about my makeup skills that much. Thank you for your honesty. ❤
@@polinatalmeltzer450 yes I was also thinking it was just me not being able to look like these girls and guys when doing makeup. But I'm glad I found out the truth, I just wish they would stop using filters when reviewing makeup. And what makes it more sad is that they always claim it's their real face when it really isn't. I've seen a few of them in person and they look nothing like in the videos. Most people like this girl in the video keep it honest but a lot of them don't. That's why now I can't trust a review anymore.
@@JessicaMarieLove1, yeah! I really though that it’s something wrong with my face, because exactly the same products never had the same effect on me, especially foundation, and only now I can say: “No, we’re ok”. Kind of funny, but also kind of embarrassing at my age)))

Thank you for the transparency! It's nice to be assured that nobody is perfect because it creates really unhealthy standards for most of us when we think everything we see on social media is really how people look.

Definitely. All fancy restaurants have that awful dark mood lighting that just makes your makeup look awful and makes your eyelashes have long spiderleg shadows 😂. I worked in one and never found the right way to fix it.
