I'm just at beginners level but I can't wait to be able to create a realistic well created character like your 1 on my own and be able to know most all these animations.
loved the normalize tip! I have heard other tutorials say to keep intensity at 1 and change the exposure of the light. Are there differences between the two?
That's a good question, Sam. Intensity increases the brightness of a light numerically (1,2,3...). Exposure takes the intensity of the light and exponentially increases the brightness. The equation is: color * intensity * 2^exposure Basically, both attributes work together.
Thanks, it was really useful. After rendering, How can I export the image of my character as a PNG file? (I need my rendered character without background). Thanks.
hi monica...love your tutorials...i'm kinda stuck in a problem for a while...suppose you applied some materials in your model...you copied the shaders and applied those in another object..so my problem is whenever i change the inputs it applies in both objects ....but i wanna make some changes in the second one...how do i solve this issue?
If I understand your situation, what you need to go is go to the Hypershade, find the shader that you want to duplicate... then go to edit>Duplicate>Shading Network. that will create a duplicate shader which you can assign to another model. I hope that helps!
My light linking thing doesn't seem to be working. I select the light and deselect the plane, but still the plane is getting lit up in the render. Any help?
Thank you Monica. can you make a tutorial about rendering fog scenes I worked on a project for a long time and when I tried to render my images from the fog scene I didn't get any fog just white color instead of fog !
