Thats a great way to pay respect and preserve both the history of the hobby as well as the dreams that filled all our heads as we rushed home with our kits. Thanks for helping me see an old model car as more than just a glue bomb.

Love this! I have a ton of old ebay builds too. It's fun to imagine that the 10 year old kid who built that Corduroy TBird in 1960 and is now a 73 year old guy, watching your video.
Really really cool! I grew up in a mostly Buick family. One of my uncles only drove Rivieras until the early 90’s. He had just about every year up to 1989. Really great to see you preserved model car history. 😎👍🏾

Model restorations..you that's what I do.. I got a few junk cars that need some love..I have five 57 Chevys that need lots of love..and I'm getting parts as I go along.thanks for sharing Gary.

I cant agree more with how and why your saving them. I love those interiors! The red and blue is outstanding. I've had a few people ask me why I don't strip the entire car when I do a restoration. The reason is exactly like you said "its to preserve the history". Great video and well said. Thanks for sharing.

Very nicely done! I like the colors you used on both. That blue on the 66 is perfect! I like to do the same thing with old builds I aquire. I have a 32 Ford that was done up as a drag car. It had cordouroy interior with about a half inch of dust. Man, did that take a while to clean. I didn't change a thing on it but it took me forever to find an identical front tire and two piece mag wheel to replace the one that was missing.
Whenever a glue bomb comes into my collection, I do the same thing, see what the builder was trying to do and just clean it up and improve the details. It's amazing just how much dust and dirt these things acquire over the years. To me I'm recycling the build up and restoring where necessary. Sometimes I get ones that are really nice and I leave them alone. Your chioce of colour on the blue one was perfect and the Red one being the original owners vision, I'm sure if he is still around would be thrilled to see it updated.
