I find building a thread body first prevents fly body spinning on hook & also coming apart. Also giving a back then forward tug on whip finish prevents blow ups as well. Just my thoughts. Thanks for pattern. I like flashabou for back & well almost any part depending as I tie a lot of saltwaters.
Hammer Creek, I really like your variant of the Lightning Bug, maybe even just a smidge more than Tim Cammisa's, as I have seen both tutorials. I must say that your variant is in my opinion (sorry Tim) the better of the two. But,!,!,!, I do however like that Tim also showed other color combinations at the end of his video, to show how versatile the pattern can be. With all of this influence from both sides, I will be using a little of all of our talents to come up with a NYMPHAMOUS variant of the Lightning Bug. Again, thank you for your take, Tony Pro, One With The River Outdoors.
Have not been getting notifications from you lately and had not seen this. So I unsubscribed and re-subscribed to see if it would activate again. Usually the name just disappears and it is hard to miss them if you don't remember the name. You however, were still listed in my subscriptions but no new activity showed up. I hope this will fix it. I am always looking for new patterns so I'm never very far from RU-vid. All the best, Sean
Hey Sean. New one up today! Lot's of things have kept me off the bench(at least to make videos). I'll do my best to get back to a consistent schedule, but may only be one a week until things free up. Really appreciate you tuning in. My best - Kyle
