THANK YOU! I'd given on this trophy 4 years ago. I have the platinum trophys for the first 2 FFXIII games and was missing just this one to have all 3 completed. It's been there bugging me for years, the empty trophy slot on just this FFXIII game. I seen it again yesterday and just said F it I'll give it one more try. I matched your setup exactly. Thank you. 43 hours into this game and I haven't had to learn how the combat works, now I get face with this thing where I actually need to pay attention. Thankfully you actually explained what to do unlike most guides I tried which was a big help. At least the hardest thing in the game is done now
Thank you so much. The guide I was using kept suggest using de shell on him so I was constantly switching back to quiet guardian and wasting ATB on deshell. Your guide with the offensive strats was just what I needed to finish the job. Thanks!

3:10 Hellflare is a nightmare to deal with but it is survivable. It's tricky though as surviving requires Defaith on A and a perfect guard. High health doesn't hurt either. Good news is in this particular showing you didn't have any buffs to lose.
By following ur strategy, i managed to beat aeronite on my first playthrough Normal mode. with 1800 atk and 1600 magic, 6 ether and 3 phoenix wing. Doesn't even need to use attack boost like hero potion. Thank you
I finally did it! I couldn’t stagger it just with thunders... Instead, I used Ruin in the 1st dress, Thunder in the Miqote dress, and Aerora in the last dress. It took me 9 minutes, and all the ethers I had... I only scored 1 point 😅
Here another one who is here to thank you. I read all the other comments but thought I can't do this. The thing is I am not good at giving up so I decided to give it another try and I planned to strengthen my weapons. but then I saw him and thought come on, Let's give it a try and I managed thanks to this video. I only used 1 turbo ether and I shouted so loud the whole neighborhood will think that "elderly" lady is crazy. (never mind they already think so and I don't care) Yes I got the platinum now for all 3 FF 13 games. Yay
Thanks, beat him after 2 tries. First try I got him to the last stagger stage but couldn't beat him before he flew away. Second try I used some enaero(?) potions and beat him.
this took alot of practice for me +6 Pheonix Downs to get it right, My issue was staggering, and the megaton break. after learning your method i decided to improve apon instead of the Soldier of Peace, i used Spira's Summoner (DLC garb) or could use a High Magical Elementa Set. So after the Staggering, Deshell + Imperil (basic combo) +Elementa and ALOT of Overclock +2 ethers for me in addition to the whole staggering... his life bar was going so fast down, i was like "Holy shit"
Maaaan, I was trying the official strategy guide strat for this fight for an hour before I realized it's trash. This worked like a charm. Nothing like the cheese strats, amiright? Finally putting this game behind me after 8 years. Now I can die in peace. Thanks!
It works. Just 5 starred him at 7 minutes, 20 seconds. Took a few tries of practice just to get the timing down of magic, schemata switching and guarding. Only thing i would add is the thorn of speed is useless (60 seconds of haste) for such a long fight. i equipped a collector catalog so i wouldnt have to worry about my buffs at the end wearing off.
Well first attempt I failed and it got fed up with the fight and it fled, might attempt it on New Game + once I'm a little more stronger and got enough Gil
is it fine if i used elixer for this battle? i didnt think i would use it anywhere and i was in apinch and decided to use it. Is elixir really important late game?
thank goodness for youtube now i can beat that thing i tryed to beat that thing four times now and always faild like it'll use fed up and fly away and i have to wait till it show's up again sigh
I didnt have the exact same equipment as you did. But i kinda tried doing the same stuff as you did. I didnt clear him with 5 stars cos i actually spammed all of my ethers and overclocks after the 4th stagger. I was able to beat him :) i fought him on the 10th day
Were you playing at Normal or Hard Mode? I'm still on easy and each time i see that black sphere roaming the sandbox i mentally create a barrier that don't allow me to reach it.
Okay so is Morgernstern necessary or something? I see a lot of people using it for this guy but when I look at stats and such wouldn't Stigma be better?
+Siggon De Tank Not necessary but for your first playthrough, during the Day 10-13 window, it is probably the strongest weapon, especially for Aero abilities. - Claire
I cant stagger him at all now (11th day) I could stagger him on the 10th day but I couldn't supply the DPS so he would still get fed up on the last 4th stagger
I can get him to the 4th stagger, but I can never do enough damage. My Artemis arrows does very minimal damage. It only does about 42k each time and takes up 60% of my overclock bar. My Magic Slash does 31k damage. I am on day 7 (6 Days left) , before completing the final storyline, but after completing Dead Dunes (so no Fang). I can get him down to about 20% HP, before I run out of overclock/items and he uses Fed Up. I even space my overclock's out so I am maximizing Overclock filling my ATB bars. I am running the following schemata (Anything with "/"s, I've played with switching between the two): Soldier of Peace Flesh Render/Buster Sword Guardians Protector Fighter's Emblem/Demon Earrings Enlister's Gloves Fira, Beatdown, Steelguard, Shadowbind Miqo'te Dress Battleaxe of the Believer/Flesh Render II Nome Della Rosa/Aegis Shield Soul of Thamasa Guard Glove/Healer's Lore (to maximize ethers) Aerora, Deshell, Mediguard, Magic Slash Quiet Guardian Chaos Revenge Mog's Shield/Aegis Shield Preta Hood White Strap Thundara, Imperil, Heavy Guard, Deprotect I don't have some of the items you use, such as Warrior Hunter's Mask or Noblessa Veronique. Anyone have any tips? I can get him down to about

+Justin Riray Same thing happened to me... Just 50ish thousand damage using Artemis Arrow... And my strength is higher than the video! LoL! Anyway, I used flamestrike to staggered it 4x, guarding against physical attack at the moment the claw strikes, to make it more challenging... First playthrough, Normal difficulty, almost gave up... But yeay, beat Aeronite silly! Good job beating Aeronite!
***** It is a tough one... I used up all my Ether... Turbo Ether... Phoenix... Hi-Potion... Nektar of Gods Omega... EVERYTHING... and I just barely made it... Perhaps it will be easier to beat it on NG+... 1st time I staggered Aeronite, Artemis Arrow does like 50k damage? I can't even get its HP down half... 2nd battle with Aeronite, using Nektar, I managed to damage Aeronite around 150k - 200k per hit... And it got fedup and flew away... My 3rd battle with Aeronite, I did exactly the same except I swap schemata and use Magic Slash which deal like 100k damage per hit... Right when Aeronite wanted to stand up... I manage to defeat it... Another 5 seconds, it would had flew away... Sheeeshhh... No more... No more re-battle with Aeronite...
This just doesn't work for me and I don't understand why. I have the same moves, the same gear, extremely close stats, but I can't stagger nearly as quickly and can't even do close to enough damage once I manage to limp to the last stagger. Infuriating boss.
my ACCECORIES were full...how can i sell it ? i really need tu reduce it..i went to shop to sell it but it does'nt have accecories part..only weapon , garb and the others...someone help me pleasee
