I actually enjoyed LR.... probably because it's one of the few entries in the Final Fantasy series that isn't turn based, but yeah I was totally expecting the usual "Game Over..... retry battle or quit" screen.
I expected so much more if time runs out, instead they just re-used part of the ending scene to show that the planet was destroyed in some kind of explosion.
I assumed that the moon was going to crash into the giant clock tower in Luxerion, triggering a huge wall of flames, followed by a creepy laugh and voice saying "You've met a terrible...." .. oh wait.
i didnt know what i did but i got the bad ending. i was angry as hell because i had to do the whole thing again. but i tried looking at the bright side, the bosses from the main quest are easy to fight now and i know what i have to do. guess its time to get that REAL ending. wish me luck
A literal 3 second cutscene of Gran Pulse exploding as seen from space. That's fuckin it. I realize that to get this ending you have to either try to in order to get to NG+ and go again from a better starting point, or just be completely incompetent and terrible at managing time, but fuck me this is lazy. 13-2 had like 10 alternate paradox endings, all of which were actual voiced endings showing what would happen in these fucked alternate timelines. If this game weren't clearly rushed to shit, I'm sure we'd get to see Bhunivelze guide Lightning's few saved souls to alternate Earth and imprisoning Lightning as the new goddess of death, maybe showing Lumina dead in the reflection of Lightning's emotionless eyes- all presented without context, to keep from spoiling the true ending. But God DAMN this is absolutely pathetic.
U dont have to complete all 5 main quests. The first time i played the game i made it to the end without saving Sazh. I guss i just did enough sidequests.
If you get to the final level on your first run (like me), but aren't able to beat the final boss, there's a time gate that lets you restart. I think it skips the scene of the planet getting blown up though.
I thought it had multiple ends and deterred me from playing the game again for years. Now I see this I feel a lot be to play the game again. Thanks man.
SE boss: so you finished making the game over scene? Dev: nah i just put a 3 second clip before new game+... Boss: wtf seriously????? Dev: like anyone's getting a game o- oh...
The fact that they take lightning before they kill everyone else and sent lightning on another world to save that world 💀 and she get to keep her strength and magic and hp to make the game easier 💀 make me feel that game over is most likely cannon 💀
If she fails in that world the some otherworldly force takes her while keeping her powers into the next where she can try again but with no memory of the last world. This makes it eerie as hell.
I did - intentionally. On my first playthrough I wasted too much time completing side-quests, and even though I had earned a few extra days, with the automatic enemy stat boosts and remainder of the main quest bosses going to their "+" and "++" forms I was way too underpowered to have any reasonable chance of getting to Bhunivelze, let alone actually defeating him. Hadn't unlocked the crystal of atonement yet so letting time run out was the only option.
I mean when as far as Game Over's go, this one does feel like a punishment. Get a Game Over these days and you just restart from the last checkpoint. This one? Its a full restart of the game
I skept the time to see what happenens when i played that for the first time and idk why i got a little scared when i saw the word being destroyed in that scene 😐😅
you need to often use Chronostatis to stop time and then farm the EP back on specific monsters that give 2 EP. I actually had too much time and could relax because of this and didn't need to do anything fast
I had way too much time , i skipped like the last 3 days because i didn't have any other thing to do appart from some difficults quests like the man telling you to kill every monster, you just have to use chronostasis and manage your ressources as good as you can to complete the game in your first try. I tend to dislike games with a timer, majora's mask specifically, but this one was fine, because time is paused most otf the time. it still is one of my favourite RPG because it really is a breath of fresh air compared to other RPG's , although i admit it's either you love it or you hate it
It was stressful playing on my first EASY playthrough but even then, I managed to complete 40+ side quests and the 5 main quests just fine with a lot of days to spare. Just Spam a lot of Chronostasis especially when you are on wildlands because reavers and big monsters spawn everywhere which means fighting them give a lot of EP which gives you Infinite Chronostasis
