True Words. I also got a few Opals in my Collection, from Matrix Opal, Welo Opals over Carved Opals to Gem Quality Ones. But these Ones are so out of Controll Beautyfull. Amazing. I wish i would have a few of these :D But more then 2.500 Euros i can not spend on one Opal. SADLY
Diamonds.... keep em! This here is natures TRUE beauty! I will never understand the allure of "diamonds" when stones like this exist! I will take black opal, hell just a really nice white opal even, all day over diamonds.
Color in opal is formed during opal formation at the bottom of the cavity was first formed Potch, light crockery, gray and black, tan it stoped. Next, it was crystal clear formed macroscopic layers and in between each layer, there was deposited by moisture mineral film, such as iron, magnesium, fluoride, copper, and so on. This process took much longer to form than Potch common opal, that's why Potch is mostly free from sand and other intrusions, while gem opal has a lot of sand and other intrusions, making it very valuable. On top of the crystal clear layer of opal can be forming Potch of different color and in a lot of cases is toped up with grey to light matrix. This is an indicator to be cut from the top and the best color is revealed after it's all cleared and polished. In my opinion, clour is not caused by diffraction of light as it was thought for semple reason gem opal has a small percentage of moisture well trapped during a formation, and the mineral film trapped in it is causing the different colors when viewed with help of light source! Without light we are blind. Some rear gem opal doesn't need much light to reveal its glorious beauty! I have this in my opal book explaining opal gem color; 'Rediscover Opals In Australia.' Example of color in Rainbow fine mist droplets and the sun shining causing color diffraction of light!
Stephen Aracic thanks for your comeback comment Stephen. All of these videos are taken of the Rainbow Opal Collection that were mined at the Cooceran Opal Field at "T Bones". They ate all Lightning Ridge gems.😊👌❤️
Wow, I must admit, this is the first time that I've EVER seen a black opal on a channel other than Black Opal Direct with Justin that equals any of his gems. Kudos. As far as I'm concerned, natural black opal is the ONLY opal out there that is worth looking at. Most of the treated garbage is just that, garbage. It looks OK but it's just a lie.
Nossa que linda demais essa pedra preciosa opala negra de várias formas de cores isso vale uma fortuna 💎💎💎💎💍💍💰💰💰💸💸💷💶💶💵💲💱🔔meus parabéns Merece milhares de like
All opals on this post are natural Nobby form opals mined at the World Famous Black Opal Capital of the World Lightning Ridge in New South Wales Australia.
mbear1 ME TOO! MY HUSBAND SURPRISED ME WITH A 9 CARAT, PARTIAL BLACK, CRYSTAL OPAL IN A BEAUTIFUL BALLERINA, DIAMOND SETTING FOR MY BIRTHDAY....IT IS STUNNING AND MY FAVORITE PIECE OF JEWELRY!!!!!
I have never seen in my life such a concentration of LR Black Opal; Especially of such quality, and such a weight; This collection is worth millions of dollars certainly; I do not understand that your shop is no visibility on the web; Also you sell so few items: p
With gems like that they don't need to have a shop. Once the word gets out about the quality all they have to do is make a few phone calls. We'll never see some of the worlds most beautiful gems. They are in someone's safe.
I really want to polish the back of some of these stones, barely take any carat-weight off and you'd have a double sided piece, would feel nicer in the hand too, with just a little more effort.
Some of these Opals have been cut by several cutters as they were being cut quickly to go on display for the opening of a new museum. Since then some of the double sided ones have been cut & polished on both sides… I totally agree that they do look fantastic when you can hold them in your hands & look at both sides… Whilst on display they could only show one side…. Thanks for looking at the collection & I appreciate your comment. 😊🌈😍
@@allaussieopal9227 Something like this motorized gyroscopic to display them would be nice (vid below), with a custom made mount to hold the stones by their edges, but even a simple watch winder would held animate them a bit under the light. Maybe even a custom gyroscopic mount that centers the stones perfectly but allows them to rotate under the light, give them their own little planetariums to display them in. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PU0YnLrTvk0.html
Thank you for your suggestions & video, I appreciate your time that it has taken you to write & add the video. When the Opals go on exhibition I set them up on a revolving turntable to show the changing colours & patterns that appear when the Opals are moving. They do look amazing with the lights on them at that time… Your video shows the backs perfectly as the mount rotates with pitch, roll & yore movements. It would certainly pick up every angle of the undulated surfaces of the Opal as well as the cabochon shapes. I will discus this with all the owners of the collection. Thanks again for all your welcomed comments. Cheers..😊🌈🙏🏼 Suzanne.
looks like you took the one down to 3000 on the back, but it is so pretty ...I would polish the back too just to see what pops up ...cause ...you never know till ya polish, do ya?
kim scudiero I assume you're talking about the first one? It might look even more stunning with a full polish, it really is incredible! But I have to say I also like the contrast of the polished and matte sides too. I wonder if the cutter left it like that for artistic reasons. It certainly works for me.
It's just not at all the same...While water does make the fire easier to see...I just brought out so much more colour by polishing that wasn't visible in the stone with just water, that it really amazes me...
Like I said, you can get a pretty good idea, I never implied it was a substitute. I was simply reacting to your statement "you never know till ya polish, do ya?" (sic)
Im saying the stone at the 1:30-1:35 mark is a fake. It has a lot of the tell tale signs specially the surface reflection. Compare that to the other stones.
Sorry to disappoint you Roger, but they are all natural Opal gems that have the Lightning Ridge miners association pricing board’s certification with each Opal. Thanks for your comment & I understand that it’s difficult to tell from photos or videos if they are genuine gemstones... I know that they are & that is why I stand behind them as being natural lighting ridge Opals that we mined from “T Bones” Opal field at the world famous Cooceran Opal Field in Lightning Ridge NSW Australia. Home of the World famous Black Opal. Regards, Suzanne White.
Lightning Boyz Thanks for your knowledgeable comment.😊🌈👍🏻 Gem Quality Australian Opal is definitely very rare.... More rarer than the Worlds rarest Diamonds....
The first dozen were cut & polished into traditional shapes of ovals rounds & pear shapes as the rough Nobby material was nearest to these shapes before they were cut & polished. The removal of sand & clay are all that needs to be removed by the cutter. The free shapes with undulated surfaces are the shape that these particular Nobby forms were created naturally by Mother Nature. Only the sand & clay were removed from the outer layer of the Nobby. Most Designer Jewellers prefer these Freeform shapes to make individual “one of a kind” designer pieces of jewellery for special clients that prefer to own something, rare & unique. Due to the fact that Australian Gem Quality Black Opals are the most valuable form of opals worldwide, therefore the miner preferred to value add to the opal by preserving its natural shape rather than cutting it down to traditional gemstone shapes & making it into a calibrated precious opal. Black opals are one of the ten rarest gemstones on earth, rarer than pink diamonds. Why would the miners want to waste their valuable & precious gems by cutting them away to suit a traditional shape that suits all mass produced calibrated settings.?
robert stevens Hi Robert. Rare & precious "one of a kind" Opal gemstones from Lightning Ridge in Australia commands the highest value per carat than any other Opal. Please email me for a value per carat. Please note that All of the 166 gems Opals in the Natural Solid Rainbow Opal Collection will be eventually sold as a collection... not as individual gemstones.
thomas guitard Hi Thomas. The Natural Solid Rainbow Opal Collection is valued at US $30 Million. Thank you for your inquiry. Stay safe & well. Best regards. Suzanne.
"China now owns most of the opal mines/rights to them. Is this true?". No. Utterly false. Chinese opal buyers have dominated buying crystal/white/grey opal in Coober Pedy from the mid-1970's, but very few have even ventured to the Ridge. Possible reasons: 1) Ridge opal is VERY tricky/hard to cut --- a stone coming out of a single piece might take 2 or 3 days of careful study and 'sneaking up' on the colour/shape/size, before completion. 2) Supply cannot be guaranteed. 3) Margin-for-error and risks are higher with Ridge opal. Coober Pedy seam is more predictable and lends itself to cutting on a large scale, but that has been overshadowed recently by the huge volume of Ethiopian crystal which now dominates the crystal and light/white/grey opal market.
Sans Minecraft VN Hi.! Thank you for your question regarding the Lightning Ridge Black Opal Video. Yes, all of these opal videos are taken of the natural Rainbow Opal Collection & are of the highest quality Opals. They are from the World famous Opal Fields in Lightning Ridge Australia
Sans Minecraft VN Hi. The Natural Solid Rainbow Opal Collection is to be sold as a total of 166 Highest Quality Natural Gem Opal Collection. You can send me your email address & I will reply with a value. Best regards. Suzanne.
The video is not about the finger nails, it’s about the Opal gems… These hands are Opal cutters hands & therefore they had just finished cutting more Opals the same day that this video was made… sorry…😊👌❤️
