These look awesome! Any chance you will be making presets for smoothing clothing wrinkles? Your frequency separation/color mixing brush method worked great for me for a while, but seems to be broken in the latest version of photoshop. For some reason the color mixing brush doesn't work for me any more in the latest version of PS. A preset to smooth clothing wrinkles would save so much time, please make one! :)

Which actions do you need help with? Have you checked inside your sharkpixel account where you downloaded the actions? Theres usually an instructional video that goes along with the products.

I got the AI presets yesterday and I had the same issue as everyone else trying to figure out how to use them in PS. I'll definitely try the workflow mentioned below. Also! After I edited a headshot in PS I then save it to LR and use the AI presets, then I tried to edit a B&W version of the headshot and when I created a virtual copy and hit the B&W tab in the Basic LR panel, the entire image was B&W except the lips who had retrain the ful color of the AI presets/mask from the color version. I think this happened no matter what in LR, anyone had the same issue happening?

I just spent a ton of time trying to figure that out. I was able to find the presets in Camera RAW because I have LR and they are in Camera RAW. But without LR, I could not figure out how to add them into PS or Camera RAW directly. UGH. I also do not like the fact that once you edit in CR and then open in PS, there are no layers for each preset you utilized. No ability to tweak hair color on its own. You have to make all of those adjustments in CR first. It's baked in once it goes in PS. I like her portrait actions way better. So much more control!

@@MonaShieldPayne It's working in both LR and PS. Just open the camera raw in PS (Filter) then click on the preset button.

@@MonaShieldPayne Hello. If you convert your image in PS to a smart object first, then do whatever you need to in ACR using these new presets and go back to PS, you can then go back to ACR and refine the individual preset settings you have already made, as often as needed. All non - destructive and therefore not actually "baked in". Hope this helps. :)
@MonaShieldPayne

@@davidholdstock Hey David, you're right with that workflow or I could create a duplicate layer for the filter. However, in PS you literally create a filter in ACR and that filter then is baked in once you hit okay as a new layer. Going back and forth into ACR for small tweaks is too time-consuming to say the least. Also, in ACR you cannot tweak the filter for the face, for example, to tweak the sharpening applied at all. In LR, you can. Consequently, the PS presets are, I believe, a less professional way of retouching. I like her skin retouching workflow action way more. I am sure though these presets will be helpful here and there, and for $27 who can complain :)

I still need to play with these presets more, but they are a great addition to my Shark Pixel retouching and editing collection. I used the medium pink hair color preset to just subtly enhance my teen daughter’s pink balayage highlight that had grown out and faded a bit. It looks just like how her hair looks after being colored. So cool and versatile!!!

i purchased a1 presets for skin retouching. i am having troubles using them when the person is laying down, or when only part of the face is in the photo. am i making a mistake by using them, or is that a common problem?
@SharkPixel

Facial recognition really struggles with sideways faces. So try rotating the frame so the face is not sideways and is right up, it might work better, then you can always rotate it back. Again, when part of the face is hidden, facial recognition battles to find it. The good news is it is constantly improving. So keep checking back.

i should have thought of that myself!!! such a simple solution, to rotate the image;-) thanks for the great hack!!!@@SharkPixel
