We are delighted to announce that our speaker for this session will be John Campbell OBE of Campbell Lutyens, author of Haldane: The Forgotten Statesman Who Shaped Modern Britain. Campbell will discuss the life and influence of one of the most extraordinary figures of British Political History in the early 20th Century, Edinburgh-born Richard Burdon Haldane, Viscount Haldane of Cloan.
John Campbell has long been inspired by Haldane's example. A merchant banker, he is the chair of Campbell Lutyens which he co-founded in 1988 after fifteen years as a director of Noble Grossart.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions immediately after the talk in the Lecture Room.
Professor Adam Dixon, Adam Smith Chair in Sustainable Capitalism, will chair the session, which will be followed by a stimulating Q&A session in the Lecture Room of Panmure House, for a live audience.
