Loved the video, I am a bit of a stove hoarder lol I thought about buying one of these, and then I went through my existing gear and made a set very similar. Eurohike Trek Solo pot set (gives you the cup option with the lid) (Chinese knock off) Esbit folding stove Shoe polish tin alcohol burner (which gives it multi fuel use) Home made foil windscreen Cheap folding spork. It might weigh a bit more than your set but it is very versatile 😁
It is lightweight & very compact. Difficult to get Esbit 14g fuel tabs here in Australia without a distributor. I use Australian military size large hexamine fuel blocks. It works well enough. I usually start with half a fuel block & finish heating with a few small twigs. I have done the same with Esbit pocket stove for years using nesting mess tins. Great for the road side cuppa when motorcycle touring. Thank you for sharing👍
Thanks for the review. I've been thinking about this kit as opposed to a titanium 550 ml pot with the folding titanium Esbit stove for an ultralite backpack cook set.
My go to is my bcb mk1 stove and the mk2 cup i tend to use the mk2 more often as i have a dehydrator and it holds all the food nicely and still gets me to a boil nice and quick with the metal lid i got off of woodlorian on ebay
I use a small trangia mess tin with homemade alcohol stoves. Ok for a day hike and have cooked some interesting meals with it. I find the smell of esbit ... offensive. 🤮which is a shame as it looks like a nice little setup
