Dismember's guitar tone has always been the biggest draw for me. Burly, nasty and mean. It sounds like a tank crushing skulls underneath the treads. Thanks for watching.
Great video Bill…such an excellent band…Everflowing is a classic for sure, and that signed Og, holy shit few of the albums I haven’t got but will pick ‘em up The Carnage album was a great release too Sick t shirt Mate Excellent Stuff !!!
Im surprised to discover that "Massive killing..." was not received well. Like a sellout what? Metalheads are strange. I love that album and i swear its heavy.
I think alot of people were bugged that they slowed down and got groovier, which was happening with a lot of bands at that time. I think that album crushes. It ups the melody and heaviness and ushers in the next stage of the band.
You are right, Dismember are really underrated. I am guilty of it myself. I followed every peak and valley of Entombed religiously but Dismember have a much stronger catalog. I need to revisit Massive Killing Capacity, I was one of those dopey kids who considered it a sellout and got rid of it. Based on how much you like it I probably would too now that I've grown up. I have shaped CDs from In Flames, Dissection and Hypocrisy. The problem is I no longer own a CD player that will play them. 😂 Really enjoyed the video, great job Bill!
The shaped cd trend was cool, but not very practical. I use to have an In Flames one, but it is lost to time and dust. Massive is worth revisiting, groovy but memorable riffs. Thanks again Scott!
Damn that's sweet to own a signed copy of LAEFS. Pieces is amazing! Definitely a pretty solid discography of which I only don't own their demo comp. The shape disc is cool mines just a normal cd but I'm not too bothered about shape cds. I'll have to check their discography again to see if they did a live album but I'm thinking they didn't? Great ranking hope you get to see them 🍻🤘🏻
I forgot to show the demo collection cd. Those are pretty good in their own right. Pieces is a phenomenal record, short and sweet. They don't have a live album per se, but they do have a live dvd that was recorded during the last album era entitled Under Blood Red Skies. I have nevered watched it. Need to remedy that asap! Thanks for the support!
Live Blasphemies is THE dismember live dvd. under bloodred skies has the late era lineup with those two new guys, the guy from Sins Of Omission and then the gaunt one. can't understand why you'd recommend that second live DVD over Live Blasphemies.. @@9thcircle73
