In this video I take a look at the Audiotechnica ATH-M40x closed-back headphones. They cost right about $100 new, but I was able to pick up a refurb set from Amazon for around $75. Basically, if you like bass these headphones may be for you. However, I didn’t find them to be very comfortable, and I’d probably take just about any of the other headphones on the list below over these. At the end of the video I’ll play sound demos of the M40x along with demos from the Status Audio CB-1 for a comparison.
