@@Dancan799 Well in DA Arcane Warriors are almost extinct and on the whole continent only two persons (and some elven ghosts) know how to do it and one of them might not be a mage and be dead after all, and Knight-Enchanter trainings need permission from the Chantry and only under Templar supervision (or used to be, at least). Also noting, Knight-Enchanters have lightsabers.

The thing about Grimgor is that he beats any Lord or hero in a straight up slap fight, he just lacks the splash power to kill infantry. Now I may just be a greenskin fanboy but I personally think Grimgor as the only nonspellcasting, no mount Lord iirc should have more splash damage on his attacks than any other Lord as he's the one true git

@@harryhewitt7153 all of the dwarf lords are nonspellcasting, no mount (obviously). They are small though, so it makes sense for them to not have crazy splash.

@@Loj84 Already tested it. Grimgor slaps Grombrindal's ass so disgustingly hard that we almost couldn't believe it when we tried it out. I think the best result for Grombrindal was when he beat Grimgor down to like 55% HP.

And Power from Darkness can be used on Hydras

Power "FROM" darkness is micro-intensive and will always miss-cast. Chill wind is cheap and always useless, Blade wind is cheap and the worst vortex in game. World of pain is good only in duels and overcasted. Doombolt is tremendusly costly and will never be cost effective, and soul stealer is ridicolously costly and really good only for Malakith. Honestly from the supposed most devastating form of magic you expect something else.

I've always found it to be quite strong, but it's probably weak *in comparison* to other vortex spells.

bladewind is good against low-armored enemies like skaven trash and early game high elves. Also cheap. You use other spells against high armored enemies like soul stealer and doombolt.

Around like 80-90 md most units just can't hit you anymore outside the base hit chance or on a charge, especially once they get tired which is already a 15%!! debuff to melee attack.

The cap is 90% if you go beyond that the system does not count it anymore. Let's say you have 105% resistance to magic,the way the game is programmed it only counts 90% the other 15% just doesn't get any consideration.

@@abdes6234 I get that - my question is about how debuffs work. Does the cap apply first and then the debuff, or would a debuff apply first and then be reduced if it is still over the cap? In my example above, it is the difference between a -25% debuff resulting in 80% res (105-25) or 65% (90-25)

ABD ES's response is a little strange. Off-topic. Happens frequently, actually, when someone wants to ask a below-surface-level question. I don't know exactly vis-a-vis in-game testing, but speaking as someone who has studied a bit of CS in my time - it would make no sense implementation-wise to subtract the 25 from the 90. The way the thing will be coded, most likely, is for all effects to be totalized and then applied, with a simple if(x>90: x

@@setheus907 Nope... I tested this battle twice before submitting it to Legend to make sure it works.. I just landed malekith straight down there and used his spells, he ended up getting around 2k kills, using the sok and his vortex spells. he did burn through 4k hp out of the 7k he had in his total regen however + the 9k total hp he has.

It used to be, not sure under current patch. Used to put things like liche pendant on wizards Etc.

isnt malektih supposed to be super tanky and a machine in battle both magically and physically? - not only but also of course because of his pet dragon. He's wearing this fancy "a god couldnt kill me and neither can you" armor. master spellcaster with 10.000 years of experience, born at a time where the winds were still much much stronger than they are in current day warhammer. etcetc. Maybe hes just good at making it look like it. would certainly be very druchii-like XD

Sorry I meant Teclis being so dang tanky in game even more so than Tyrion with all the ward save he gets lol. Definitely agree about Malekith though. He and Tyrion are about as physically tough as an elf can get. One has better sword skills where the other doesn’t lag to far while also being a solid caster and barely feels pain. Plus having a dragon is way better than a horse for a mount haha

Don't need lightning strike if your actual strikes hit harder then lightning.

Talisman of Endurance: 12% Ward Save at 21:39: Deathmask: 10% physical resistance Cause Fear Cause Terror 12% Ward = 12% physical, 12>10. The dragon innately gives terror, Malekith innately has Fear period, so Deathmask only gives 10% physical. Talisman of Endurance wins. Besides, most likely the Magic Resistance Ward save gives is still being counted, so Talisman also gains an edge because it's 12% excess for MR can counteract MR reduction, meaning Malekith would be better off still with the Talisman anyway. It would simply be easier to code it to behave this way, so it's the most likely option for how the devs handled "How do we deal with Resistances greater than 90%? Ignore it, but it's still there." Extra Cause fear and Cause terror is straight up wasted entirely, and the extra benefits that 12% ward has beyond the fact it has 2% more physical means conclusively Talisman is better than Deathmask on One-Man Malekith, especially when he's on Seraphon. But the mask just sucks in general on Malekith anyway when you have a lot of other options, so it's not surprising.

This was my save. I was actually having really bad luck with the talisman and at some point I got 2x deathmask which I was using. Just two turns before this battle, I ended up getting the talisman of endurance which was superior to it because ward save applies universally to all damage types. So I picked that one instead.

The demon potion gives a Public order bonus when you are fully in control

@@cheesus7672 Hag Graef and malus are weird, they are probably the second best Dark Elf faction and really, really strong with some unique items, massive growth and extra public order but Malus is nerfed as a commander. However if you confederate him he gives about nothing to your faction but is now a walking tank. Tldr If you want to play with Malus you confederate him, if you want a strong Dark Elf faction play Malus and confed Malekith.

Yes, also Hellebronn also can have up to +2-6 PO with her mechanics so she's also fine with SoK

Hello, that's my save. I don't know how to teleport, honestly I would have used that if I knew it was possible. I did use some movement bonus mod however, just so I can get to lords asap, kill them before they were dead. I started the trait farm at around turn 21 ish. I can't remember what level malekith was at but it was decently high and i went after hellebron, had a second army farming exp and revolts. beastmen to nagarrond's south liked me because i used the orc settlement to farm malekith's levels so i got a NAP and those borders were secure. For whatever reason alarielle saw me, declared war instantly, i sent malekith to ulthuan to farm her and eltharion (keep in mind i have loads of movement on combat from the trait + mod) then killed rakarth, went to get throgg then throt and you get the idea. it basically took me 2 turns to get from norsca to where the VC were because they were so far up north with azhagg so i got 2 traits in one turn alone (throt and isabella) idk why the vampires were up there but w/e. Basically yes, malekith was running around on a huge movement speed boost on campaign (I'm pretty sure its double the default distance) to get to those places. My primary goal was to actually test the limit on how many traits i could get. The findings confused the hell out of me and i just stopped caring and turned malekith into a one man army shortly after. (Basically you can theoretically get 40 lord defeat traits, but generic traits at some point start to "delete" lord defeat traits once you get past 30 total traits)

I used a movement bonus mod to move around quickly, so in this game I declared war on the orcs below nagarrond and farmed them for malekith's levels, the beastmen liked me because of it and i got a non agression with them, the were rampaging below my borders and hellebron, grond and I had a 3 way war so she was busy with grond and i had another army farming them, malekith was free to do what he wanted so i sent him to ulthuan to get traits, then rakarth, then sent him to norsca and straight south to badlands, i did that whole thing in about a span of 30 turns, it was around turn 60 when i returned and held onto the khain village. all this while I also used confederations to my advantage. I should also mention I was using lightning strikes and used a respec mod to respec malekith for his one man doomstack later. and ofc used heroes for faster growth so i had nagarrond to lv 5 a bit faster than even the legendary ai which surprised me very much. Apart from that I didn't use any other mods apart from graphical ones. Hope this helps.

Your slave provinces are more likely to rebel, completely negating the additional slaves and going backward economically if even 1 does so.

As Toggle said Your slave provinces are more likely to rebel and you don't want to farm rebellions in your slave provinces because each rebellion decreases amount of slaves significantly. Basically you have 5000 slaves in a province, you get a revolt (-1000 slaves), then you beat rebellion and get 500 slaves back, so you're left with 4500 slaves instead of 5000. Farming slave rebellions in provinces where you concentrate slaves is counterproductive.

Hiya, this Malekith was my save. The way I did it was quite simple, After I secured Nagarrond (around turn 6? ) I got a black ark and stashed my army into it, bought 2 spearmen units in addition to the witch and malekith in my army, they were farming revolts and the army was half dead anyways so the witch can beat them alone, so i did that and while they were fleeing, i cast spells on the two spearmen units and almost killed them, this gave me bloody and i did it a few more times to max out the trait. idk the exact specifics of how many you must kill but I know having lesser units makes it easier to farm the trait.

In Skyrim, yes that is the cap.

90% cap for resistances. In addition, armor produces a somewhat randomized, separate damage reduction of about 0,5% per point, which also caps at 90%

If you are at the resistance cap of 90 percent you are taking 10% damage, if you were at 50% resistance you're taking 5 times the damage that you would be if you were at the cap

You'd take five times the amount of damage compared to being at the resistance cap of 90%.

No one benefits actually. The problem with DE is that they don't have great PO on Legendary, so Dominating SoK (-8 PO factionwide) really impedes campaign. With recent PO rework it's not that bad as before though.

I remember it but it's not very good, also it's outdated: 1) With PO rework rebellions are far less predictable. 2) IMO It's simpler (and less boring) to have real armies conquering, plundering and getting thousands of slaves per turn rather than having the same battle against rebels over and over again. 3) If I understood correctly he played that campaign on Normal so he had basically no supply lines.On Legendary or VH I don't think you can justify having multiple armies just farming revolts. Getting 300 slaves per turn while increasing upkeep for 15%? Looks like a bad deal to me 4) He really missed using masters for reducing slave decline. He also started putting slaves into Karond Kar without even building slave market - waste of slaves TBH. Doesn't look to me like he really mastered slave economy so I wouldn't use that video as a guide.
