Using tissue paper, napkins, collage papers create a lovely sheet of leather like material. Beautiful fabric paper. Great for mixed media creations. Check out my video on Momigami too (Japanese paper kneading)

mod podge or school glue
brush
cheese cloth
plastic wrap

Hi, besides making journals I also know how to make clothes. So I often use my kitchen table to lay my fabrics to cut out my patterns and sew everything together. Thank you for your video I really enjoyed it❤❤❤

Thanks Jeannine! The cheesecloth makes it just stiff enough to be stable and yet flexible enough to fold over a cover. I am going to try with a dryer sheet next. Think of how nice your journal will smell with that dryer sheet in there(haha)

I work from my kitchen table for all sorts of things EXCEPT eating. I found your presentations by looking specifically by searching for Momigami. Loved the videos I have seen thus far!

Thanks so much Marge. Means a great deal to me. I have a art/craft room so don't use my kitchen table(I don't eat at it either)🤪Have you checked out the Momigami with lotion video...much less messy than with oil. Doesn't make the paper as supple but makes it easier to use.

I used a kitchen table for 2 years....got lucky with my next home and had a room to dedicate to my art and crafts. Kitchen table worked though!

I loved this. You don’t hurry through expecting me to already know about what everything is. Thank you and yes I am subscribing AND yes I use whatever table I can. I usually have things going on most of them. I have 5 busy tables. Not always being good about finishing one thing before I start another.

Hey Kari..will have to check out your video. I think I am going to try on a dryer sheet next and maybe use hand painted tissue paper. I am still in the process of packing(95% done) so have not been making videos as regular as before..will catch up after I move. Thanks for watching Kari!

Absolutely love this technique, thank you for sharing!! Will be fun to try! Curious, when it’s dry, can you stamp on top of it? Can you write on it in marker or micron-type pens? Maybe I’d stamp on it before modpodging it & use permanent ink like Staz On or Archival Ink- I know 1 of them needs to be set first before wetting. Looks so fun, can’t wait to try. I have lots of fabric to do this with! So excited! And I saw you mentioned in comments that you’d like to try with fabric softener sheets, cool! Would love to try that too. Liked video & subscribed! Hi Lisa! Yes I would stamp on the napkin before applying it to the cheesecloth. The surface would not be smooth enough to do afterwards but you certainly could do mark making with a Micron pen,Sharpie or stabilo oil pencil. I have another video coming up on creating collage paper and after that one a video on fabric paper made with a piece of sheeting and collage paper..hope you check them out and thanks for viewing!
