This first cover just keeps getting better with every layer you put on. The second one is even better. I love them both !!

I’m fairly new to the Junk Journal world. Why didn’t someone tell me about this before. Just had my 84th birthday and will NEVER be able to get all the journals made that I have ideas for! Just moved so all my craft supplies are still in boxes but when I get them unpacked this technique is first on my list to try. Love your channel, Gayle.

Gayle… you will get a laugh out of this but I dreamed last night that I was at a junk store & I found a bunch of miss matched paper napkins & I remembered thinking to myself… I need those for crafting! I had to chuckle using the white layers. I usually end up using them as tissues. I need to try this cover method and stop using the white layer as tissues. 🤣

Love watching you make this stuff, it always turns out beautiful! I've made a lot of covers using napkins but never with fabric. I did make a couple of covers using Tim Holtz collage paper on fabric, only one layer though. I love those covers also. Thanks for another great video.

I actually tried this once, my cover came out ok. I think I may have gotten to many layers on it but as I am currently using the journal that I put the cover on, it does seem to be getting a little more flexible. I would definitely do this again. I love your covers with the Christmas napkins, I am sure they will turn out beautiful.

Can’t wait to try this process! Wondering if it might help to anchor the wax paper with some painters tape before putting down the plastic wrap. I thought it might help you when spreading the glue by keeping the whole project in your filming area.

Good morning Gayle!💕Your ESP is working! I’m currently decorating (trying not to make it plump..so hard!) a journal with a Christmas napkin fabric paper cover I made… sometime or other. Not sure I did it correctly but it’s holding together so far. 👍The cover turned out much darker than I expected, but gives it a bit of an old distressed look, so it’s ok. Want to make more fabric paper covers before I put holiday napkins away. Thanks for the refresher! Enjoying Gayle and late morning coffee. Have a great Monday!💕

Soooo stinkin cute!! I really love when you do these. I was saving napkin backs to do it and someone thought they were trash. Can you use regular table white napkins taken apart and place the backsides of colored ones? I'd like to try this when I finish my recovery I've always been so relaxed watching you do this. Boy the sunflower pattern showed up for 2 layers! I hope you enjoyed watching your granddad's game on TV. What a nice week your son was there for a few days and then watching the kids on TV. I've never seen you do this before (I know, a big hole in my craft education! 😳), even though I've heard you talk about "fabric paper" before. I usually use watered down PVA glue in place of mod podge and wonder whether it would work on this. Some experimentation may be in my future. 😁 Thank you so much, Gayle. 🥰
