Thanks for showing how to do it right. I was experimenting put instant coffe in a inside out sock wet it a little bit and rub it in actually turned out nice
I have a few older racks from bucks I’ve taken that need to be freshened up. Before you started with the stainless brush and stain did you do anything special to prep the antlers or just wash them to remove any dirt, blood and other contaminants?
Hi you already answered my question but I am still a little confused. Sorry, the wood stain that you are using. Did you add the polyurethane to the stain or does it already have polyurethane in it? I researched the can that you are using and it said to add polyurethane after staining for maximum protection. It’s oil based correct? Thanks again
Yes that's correct. I don't like to use the polyurethane blend because you don't want the antler to have a gloss glassy looking finish. The regular stain will just penetrate the bone and color it without adding sheen
@@thecedarridgechronicles I Am I reading that correct that you do add polyurethane to the can yourself? If so how much. Sorry I had 3 people read your answer and we can figure out. Thanks
