12:30 that has to be the most brutal way to lose P I’ve ever seen. No choice but to slowly watch your combo die as you fall. Bloodsauce Dungeon is such a brutal P-Rank. You have to be practically frame perfect to avoid the hazards and correctly time your jumps, but good lord does it feel great when you pull it off.
Yea I have agree and I even struggled to get a s rank on this level also idk if it's just me but i struggled as well with this particular dude at 10:13 which wasted so much of my time and ruined my runs.
Bloodsauce defenitely felt like a dofficulty curve when you p rank it for the first time but i guess it prepares your timings for fastfood saloon and oregano desert so it's fine
Bloodsauce gave me the most trouble of the levels I've P ranked so far, but I gotta say, going through that last, cramped room before the bottom blue area without hitting the walls/ceiling is *so* satisfying, both on the way down and especially during the escape.
Nicely done on these p ranks especially with the bloodsauce dungeon one since its basically one of the hardest levels in the first world in my opinion.
im watching the vod now and i dunno if anyone gave you a good answer so imma give you one because maybe the people in chat dont even know: the reason on bloodsauce dungeon why it is recommended to grab gerome during pizza time, and the treasure on lap 2, is simply because it is a shorter overall path, and therefore faster. it is literally just for speedrunning and no other reason.
Bloodsauce isn't as bad once you start getting stuff on the escape (secret 2 and toppin 1) and going slow in secret 3 helps a ton. Haven't tried Golf yet.
Golf really is one of the easier ones though, I've only P Ranked 8 stages and I'd put Golf at easier than Pizzascape, Ancient Cheese, Oregano Desert and Crust Cove, but harder than John Gutter, Pepperman and Fun Farm.
I think bloodsauce dungeon is the only stage I found it easiest to get the treasure on lap 2, and instead ignoring the door and getting the janitor on your way up in lap 1, then on lap 2 making the pit-stop to grab the treasure. Edit: didn't watch further into the video, comment is irrelevent now
i cant tell whether i love or hate these levels, im really conflicted. on one hand they're great and on the other they're still great so i'm not sure why i don't like them but- uhh... was the level designs always this good?
i litreally just P ranked golf and it was a cakewalk... it took like 4-5 good trys. a lot that was finding optimizations too... idk! crazy to me that mike had such a problem with it
