Ive been playing guitar and bass since 1968. Have played professionally for 30 years. You are one hell of a bass player Lil man. You definitely have a talent given from God. You also have a father that's given from God. You count your Blessings, and thank God for giving you a father that is behind you, and with you. A lot of young talent is wasted, because they dont have the help, or the guidenace to bring it all through. Good job Lil man, and great job Dad..

Reminds me watching my Grandfather play Jimmy Reed, Lightnin' Hopkins and John Lee Hooker on his EEElectric Guitar as a 4 year old. He even had the Harmonica Bracket. He showed my Father the "Harp" who in turn showed me. I play the "Blues Harp" as a result but it never would have happened without my Grandfather's or Father's direct influence. I absolutely Love this. Huntin', Fishin,' Athletics , Restoring and Tunin' Up Hot Rods...... and "Respecting" the Ladies. I learned it all from them. I'm 63 yrs old and remember their lessons like it was yesterday. This young man will too. Shout out to Fatherhood.

As a long time bass player I would say that his bass chops are secondary. This kid understands music first. I play in a band and can copy most bass lines for any song we play, and I get payed to do it. This kid is already at the next level. This kid is a real musician, with a real feel for it. I can’t wait to hear him ten years from now.
Hey world this is what fathers do and I love the fact dad is teaching his son the classics like Rise ( I've always loved that bassline ) at this stage his son will journey out into different genres and styles but his foundation is set already
I have 3 grown sons, and I frequently tell them how proud I am of them as sons, and as men. I, also, tell my daughters how proud I am of them. My children are, and always have been from day one, such a joy to me as a father. They are all grown now, but they will always be my babies.
I didn't have the pleasure raising my son. So I missed alot of those things that make life worth living. So, I sometimes live vicariously through other people's experiences. When he said "and he cried", I have to admit I did a little too. You're a good father. Given the opportunity my boy would have had the same chance as you gave yours. I subbed. And I look forward to watching him grow up. Good job my brother.
