+JTracks305 ummmm , you Know Now That I'm older Bow Wow definitely ! 😂 But as a 5 year old I thought lil Romeo was so cute , that's so not the case now
+Shandra9000mail well guess what WHO CARES. Alot of rappers today are ghost writers including drake but it doesn't matter if you can still get the flow and perform the song well to the point where people think its u writing the song even though he did not write the song and make money then I say he's good with me.
totally agree with you with his music. but i think people forgot about him because he took the nick cannon route. people know him better for what he did after music. like more people know george forman more for promoting a grill, than scaring the living shit out every heavyweight boxer he went against. people know bow wow for wild n out and starring in b movies(hardball was a banger) than his music.
@@SomeBaldDude idk but i think he must of been like 10 or some cause i think on the movie like mike he was 12 or 13 Honestly im not sure dont take my word for it
I knew this cat before he was ever a little Bow Wow. I was from the hood and had transfered to a better school (Olde Orchard Elementary) where he attended. He was a very shy and timid kid, nothing like you see now. It blew my mind how it all played out. We were in 3rd grade and in the morning the bell would ring for the teachers to come out and get us as we lined up at our class block, though his class line was next to mine. Every Monday he would come to school with his hair braided uniquely, so one morning I approached him and asked his name and who braided his hair, he told me his mother and it was ironic that our names were similar. My name is Rashad but the fam and friends call me Shad for short. Fast forward the next year I transfer to another school and the year after another so now I'm in the 5th grade. Basketball season was starting up at Barnett Recreation center and all the boys were sitting on the floor before we scrimmaged to get picked by coaches. He wasn't a regular there so alot of the guys didn't know who he was, as he was sitting timidly by himself. Many of them thought he was a girl because he was smaller with long hair and hazel eyes, but me knowing him from the school in third grade I was able to clarify to the fellas that he was a boy. The season started and our teams played each other, mind you he still wasn't Bow Wow. I was going for a lay up and he reached his hand down and blocked my shot. This joker celebrated for the next 3 minutes up and down the floor. He was significantly smaller than the rest of us so it was a big deal, lol. Bare mind he was always small. Fast forward two years later (7th grade) my family moves back to Alabama and this new young rapper hits the scene. All of the girls are going crazy and the world is taking notice. I'm seeing videos and magazine articles but it doesn't register. I'm reading an article one day and it says that he is from Columbus Ohio. They ask him about who does the creative designs in his hair and he says his mother. Cold blooded, literally blew my mind. This same shy timid little boy who I used to dap up in the third grade and no one knew even by the fifth grade had become a superstar out of literally nowhere. I really know for a fact that him being in the industry all of his formative years stole a lot of the ideas of "Identity" that he seems to be searching for as an adult which ultimately make him look silly. While the rest of us were able to be molded by lifes hands and become the "Who We Are's" he was forced to placate to the notion of being the industries Lil Bow Wow. An image that he has tried to escape and replace with a false sense of ego by my vantage point. Trust me, this character that is imposing himself on the acceptance of the people was once a very soft spoken, rather quiet lamb of a child whom I damn near had to consciously make a point not to spook to get a comfortable conversation out of on his end on our first meeting. I can attest to that as a fact and I'm sure that those who knew him could do the same.
Yall are so right. Idk yall ages but i was in my early 20s , 2 kids & a wife. Everybodys good thank god but im like "how did we go from stewart lil & spongebob to this. Lean , herione, the whole game & times changed & as a parent of a now 16 & 17 yr old i wake up everyday wishing it was '02 again.😊
I like how they portrayed his neighborhood here. Not as a gang ridden cesspool, but as a sunny, happy urban residence with people having fun and happy to be alive and well.
Bow Wow was a *Child Prodigy* that had mastered smooth, clear and fast rapping at a Very Young Age, as this song proves. This is almost unheard of in Hip-Hop History. 👍🏾👍🏾
That part!!! Not a lot of kids could deliver like he did, he had everything down Pat! His flow was crazy, I know JD wrote his stuff but his delivery was immaculate
Maaaan i was 13 when this came out and i can't even lie, i loved this song and i thought Bow Wow was the shit man, lol. Damn, this takes me straight back to middle school. I really really miss this era. Playing with Pokemon cards, watching DBZ, etc, the good old days. Didn't realize back then how time would fly...
I'm 31, growing up listening to music without cussing and killing we only had Bow and Romeo, our kids are listening to the most vulgar music ever this generation. Just think if they had this
Even he didn't write all his own shit, bow wows flow was so different, Clean and untouchable, his style, and the stutter flow and the DJ scratching he would always do, especially in freestyles or performance and concert videos were crazy to me as a little kid till now
A tear actually dropped out of my eye watching this!!! 😂😂😂 Somebody get me!!!! This was EVERYTHING back in the day! I miss this so much....soundtracks used to be lit!
da brat wrote some verses for him as a kid. they didn't give bow wow a lot of freedom until his 3rd album even then jazzy pha and T.I. wrote 2 verses on let's get down
BOWOW is absolutely iconic for being a child rapper really Running the game. Even tho he was lil Bowwow his energy was so BIG, he was super confident and literally looked like he was right at home around all these adult rappers. This song reminds me so much of my childhood, everything was so cool, smooth, lit n fun!
