In the fourth episode of Noisey's Chiraq, we catch up extensively with Lil Durk, the next superstar of the Drill scene and go to a show with fellow 300 / OTF member Lil Reese.
It's the night of Lollapalooza, but that doesn't matter because inside and outside the venue, the crowd is packed to the walls. Afterwards, we roll through the South Side of Chicago with Durk and meet his family, learning about the life from which he came, and why he "terrifies the city."

Chicago's drill music revolution was like LA's gangsta rap era. They got blamed and looked at as bad role models, when they were doing it for a passion of music and to get their families a safe place to stay. Glad to see Durk having such a prosperous and great career, he came a long way.

I love Thomas for making that Black Panther comment. When we live in a country where you die if you can't defend yourself, you need gangs to stay safe. The police are just a bigger, widely recognized gang officially recognized by the federal government. I don't really like Chief Keef, but Lil Durk is another story. His rap seems to be actual observations and not just rapping about what he sees on the streets. I know those gangstas are gonna wanna break from that eventually, so it's better to have a goal to strive for that doesn't hurt those around you. Thanks Lil Durk.
