@@prime3708 it was, cause Wayne had it on lock for one more year, 2009. When he got locked up in Rikers, 2010 Drake and nicki was upcoming and buzzing. 2011 was wayne's last year contractually dropping albums.
Crazy I was in prison when this came out and couldn’t here it for like 9 months later that was so long ago and the song still sound just as it did then
I want a big invention to happen before i die. Must have been cool when cars and planes were first made. I would be pissed off if the last invention before I die is iphone78
When this came out I was homeless, on drugs, and then jail. I now have a house, job, and husband. This song and “Clover Cage - In the Moment” are the two songs that helped get rid of my depression. I just want to send love to everyone and I want everyone to know things will get better. We are in this together..I love you ❤️
@@luchilovesyou9260 well, he was undergoing treatment for a medical condition that he had, called myasthenia gravis, and the nurse in charge failed to pull the catheter out properly (they ran it thru his neck as they could not find any other suitable artery), the catheter tore a blood vessel in his chest, and he went into cardiac and respiratory arrest (his heart stopped and he stopped breathing). the nursed panicked, and ended up taking 10 minutes to call a code (a code is called in a hospital when someone goes into cardiac arrest, so CPR and defibrillation can be used to try and sav the patients life.) his widow filed a wrongful death lawsuit, and won.

I remember when he first came out people made fun of him for "nonsensical word soup". He's basically William Shakespeare compared to what we have now LOL And the people making fun of him also loved him cuz his songs are scientifically catchy to a T
are those artists in a normal state of mind, anything for money? Record companies know exactly what they re doing ! Corrupting the innocence of ppl I don t think humanity got to a lower level than this. Lil Wayne are u happy with all this money or just as sad as all the rest in the music industry ? There s always a turning back before last breath man Utube fr ripperger ppl ,he s an exorcist wake up
God damn it’s been 14 years. I’m 30 this year and I’m over here scared to go back to school because 2 years is to long. F it I’m signing up next week!! Nursing school here I come. I’ll be the oldest one but who cares..
Crazy how much music has changed. Like this song had to have an RnB singer on it to be a hit at his point, even though Wayne did a lot of the signing. Now most rappers are doing their own singing. Well that's just one part of how the industry changed. Watching this is like a flashback to a more lavish, straight forward mainstream of hip hop.
Nigga, i miss my childhood so much! I want to be that crazy kid again, The one that was listening to music all Day, play football outside, play old games like cs 1.6,serious sam, gta vice City etc. Life was so simple yet so beautiful back in the Day!
Ronin Bayacal Are you talking about Post Malone? He wasn’t a 2000s rapper tho. His first album came out in 2016 and Gucci Mane wasn’t as big as the other rappers during this time
This was Wayne's first song to hit big time on the mainstream. Everyone who was a fan of his and followed hip hop knew him but this song was his first foray into the mainstream and finally recognised on a global scale. 2006-2009 Wayne was one another level. No rapper was as active as he was during that era.
The guitar on this song is just genius, songs like this elevated Wayne from just another rapper to a creative superstar! No one was doing what Wayne was.....miss this time in music fr
