Can't wait. But my favorite will have to be "Pray To The Lord". Old school mixtape weezy with great bars and an even better message with a beat that'll last a lifetime. "I made my bed now I shall rest in peace " 🙏
Very much so, I liked him with Juvie and the rest late 90s but never of a fan of his solo career. I like his GB Fandom and I surprisingly enjoyed this very enlightening interview. I didn't know nick wright was a pretty good interviewer. Love the podcast, the 50 of the last 50 is my favorite
@@knowworth6802 Bruh. That's because of his corporate deal with Sprint. They bought 1 million digital copies of that album to give to their subscribers or whatever. It went platinum in 6 days directly because of that. Samsung also bought 1 million digital copies of Magna Carta Holy Grail in 2013 as well. Funeral was a #1 album.
@@knowworth6802 or the fact that drake nor jay has the knowledge of sports that wayne does. At one point in time wayne and Nelly was going to hv their own sports show. This was yrs ago too
@@pvre7278 honestly, his top 50 in 50 NBA PLAYER segments shows the time and energy he puts in to being well informed and well versed in his craft. More than most in his field can say that spew the first thing to come to their mind
Wayne is such a treasure and I'm really happy how genuine y'all relationship seems. It's also nice to see how humble Wayne is to not have himself in his top 5 although he is unquestionably the greatest rapper of all time 🐐
I'm a wayne fan and his grill looks like it was knocked out also he is acting like he had a bad batch of something and the scar on his eye is new!!! edit: he has the big OVO chain which they hid!!! Drake???
My favorite thing about Wayne is how he'll talk about his experience and then immediately after he always somehow acknowledges that other people might have different experiences. He offers his own, but doesn't try to speak for anyone else
Yeaahh he went on Skip and Shannon Sharpes show and said that he personally never experience racism, and they just weren’t satisfied with his answer. They wanted him to go on a 20 min rant about racism and Wayne’s just like nah
I like the ending, nick asking Wayne if he taking care of himself. This man needs to live forever. I see him at 80 at the Grammys spitting a wicked freestyle..
Skip probably helped put this interview together. Skip and Nick both work in the same network (fox) People need to stop jumping to the negativity so quickly. But I guess that’s just the world we live in
If he doesn't get better I'll give up listening to rap.. Honestly there's people who would poison me if they could So I can relate.. I've always been able to relate to him. Get better soon Tune!! 💜edit: He has the big OVO chain on and its hidden! Drake???
When wayne interviews with his friends, not associates, FRIENDS, he gives GREAT interviews. You can tell the difference. Shout out to Nick for having a genuine conversation with Wayne!
Lil Wayne is extremely underrated for his intelligence obviously we all know his drug issues and I’m not at all saying I agree with every single thing he says but even if you wanna go to his music people are more familiar with Tha carter albums and post 2008 wayne but go pre 2008 wayne and songs like Hollywood divorce, his verse on sweetest girl, Cry Out, Hey America, he is a very deep thinker
Oh shut up already. Tf the drug issue thrown in there for? For fake love? Cause If you love someone you don't say I love them he's great even though he has ... How bout mind ya business friend and enjoy Wayne. You don't enjoy him stribly because he doesn't have a drug issue? Then don't speak on it if it makes no difference to you. Weak slap insuts running amuck online. Just shut up.
I've been a fan of lil Wayne forever, but I'm a bigger fan after this interview. Dude is dope! And Nick keeps getting better at his craft. MAN that cool.
This was a great interview. I appreciated the balance of sports and music questions and most importantly your question at the end. It came from a real genuine place and as a fan of Wayne I'm happy to hear that he's taking better care of himself. Keep up the excellent work Nick, love the content!!
Something isn't right his grill looks like it got knocked out!! He seems like he got a bad batch!! Where did the scar on his eye come from? I'm tuned in more than most.. edit: He has the big OVO chain on.. Drake???
@A Z you say this yet here you are commenting on a post from a show that bares his name exclusively. I could see if you made this comment on a FtF video. That's the appeal. Whether you love him or hate him; you have something to say. Whether the former or the latter, you still are contributing to his views, comments and interactions. That's in large part what makes a great media personality great. Hence why he is prospering as well as he is as of late.
F that something isn't right on this.. His grill looks like dentures and he doesn't look like right. There's no way they'd let him do an interview like this wtf!!
@@DerekJetson Yeah I noticed the same. Even when he smiled he turned his head in one instance like he didn’t want to show it. Them grills be messing up people teeth I guess.
Good job Nick great interview! Being from New Orleans following Wayne since he was 12. It’s nice to see people give him his flowers and credit him for his success.
Lil Wayne looked and sounded great. He looked healthy and we’re glad he’s committed to his well being as we would be truly be devastated if he wasn’t around
TBH I was watching this & thinking wow I'm surprised Wayne is still alive & I'm glad he's still here. I'm not a Wayne Stan But Mixtape Wayne got heavy rotation when those cameout
I think most people when thinking of they're Top 5 they think of rappers who they think are the best Instead of thinking/listing rappers who they enjoyed the best.
She definitely was a force to be reckoned with...them vijos 🔥 that make ya azz shake something music 🔥 the way she helped others get on 🔥 and her genuine personality is 🔥
Great interview Nick!!!! Yo Lil Wayne gotta be one of the coolest/most humble rapper alive period. Always been a fan, new and old music still goes hard anytime you listen to it. Keep doing yo thing man, resume speaks for itself!
@@seifuddinassabur6934 im a lebron fan but i know sometimes he be stretching it..i ain't gonna lie😭😂😂 But...he be funny sometimes..and make vaild points but ppl be brushing it off
Good stuff nick. One of the coolest when it comes to showing how you are off the clock. One of the few analyst who doesn’t look like a nark when not wearing a suit. Been a fan for a long time man! Keep it up and Broussard was the perfect fit for your show! Wildes and Jenna are awesome also!
He was so comfortable with you Nick. You guys were having a conversation as if there was no cameras in the room. Great interview. One of the best I seen.
I watch first things first every morning and listen to Wayne daily, my Fiancé literally hates to hear these two voices every single day and this was Gold! My 2 favorite people to listen to because both have a super high IQ. I literally use Nicks takes when I debate sports with people and I spit Wayne bars all the time to convince people his brain is definitely different lol
I love Wayne so much I can't watch or listen to him anymore without crying. So much of my life is shared memories of him and his voice, mind, energy. Shout-out to the martian 👽
Nick will never see this comment but my man you are in the process of becoming the #1 right now, first things first is the best sports media out there.
"Straight up!! I love 💖💖💖💖 down to earth people. Humbleness is fire, lit TOUGH STRONG. I love it!! Jesus bless ya Chile!!!! O yes!!!! ". Michael Jackson the Gospel Singer/Dancer
BY FAR THE BEST INTERVIEWER TO INTERVIEW LIL WAYNE. I'VE NEVER HEARD WAYNE TALK IN SO MUCH DETAIL AND ITS BECAUSE OF THE QUESTION BEING ASKED AND THE REAL AUTHENTIC LOVE FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE AND STILL DO. WAYNE IS MY FAVORITE ARTIST OF ALL TIME AND SERIOUSLY THE BEST OF ALL TIME BUT NOT HAVING EMINEM IN NEITHER TOP 5 IS CRAZY LOL. ANYWAY YOU SIR HAVE A NEW FAN, SUB, AND FOLLOWER MR. WRIGHT.
4:55 - 5:45 Personally I can relate to this right here, even as a kid I noticed adults would like having full blown conversations with me and letting me be in adult circles at a pretty young age unlike my cousins, classmates and peers. You end up being the only 8 year old in a room full of adults playing cards and they want you there for some reason. I never thought much of it until I’m invited to corporate dinners and management holding casual conversations with me unlike my regular coworkers…it’s dope because these people will share intellect and help smooth out the rough edges of your intelligence and perspective with their own experiences. Some people have things that make them special like intellect, coachabilty, creativity and it’s dope when you are pulled aside to help you realize those strengths and even get mentoring sometimes.
So cool to hear how LW's elders supported him, and put him up, not down. 5:40 . Self-critique, not settling, improving the good for the great and greater. Seeing new styles as a challenge to master and push beyond. Great perspective as an artist.
Always Been Big Fan of Lil Wayne and Always Will...White Suburban Dude Here...Love The Phonecall to Studio Story...My Dark Twisted Fantasy is a GREAT Unique Album
Nick Wright really just went from being this squeaky annoying Lebron lover to an annoying Lebron lover but no doubt a great analyst, podcaster & human being
HEY NICK! I SO MUCH LOVED YOUR PODCAST SHOW WITH LIL' WAYNE THAT I JUST SUBSCRIBED!! YOU ARE MY FAVORITE SPORTS ANALYST ON TV! I'M A BIG LEBRON FAN AND JA MORANT FAN TOO! I'LL BE WATCHING MORE OFTEN NOW!❤
Nick is right Lil Wayne means so much to our culture inside the music inside of sports and outside of both his influence on society goes without measure he's truly one of the greatest artists of our time and of all time and has inspired so many people throughout his career and touch so many people throughout his career... and yet he continues to inspire thousands and millions of people around the world
"I love 💖 💖 people's opinions!! All the different tastes and preferences, long as it's REal and positive!!!! I love 💖💖 it!! My top 5: 1.2pac 2.Biggie 3Nas 4.Jay Z 5.Big Pun
Lil Wayne hair strait up fell out from all the dye and tight dreads and people didn't even clown him, that's how much respect people have for this guy.
