Great reaction they were much younger when they did this Melodys voice is insane she reaches levels that nö one with that rasp can. Everything they do originals and tributes are phenomenal checkout there newest song like Dear Father aNot afraid and Carousel. They just came back from a European Vacation including visit to Transylvania.
Their mom and dad came from Romania originally (as kids), and their dad grew up about an hour away from Count Dracula’s castle in Transylvania. Their dad also sang when he was younger and ended up working as a music producer and had a recording studio. Their dad encouraged them all to play different instruments and took them for music lessons. The kids grew up in California playing on Santa Monica Pier on weekends doing cover songs from different metal bands. It was back then they were in a Music shop and they were looking for a band name, and a person working at the shop asked how to say bat in Romania - their dad answered, Liliac. And that is how they got their name. After the Covid shutdown they moved to Georgia close to Atlanta. They have just finished a Recording Studio in their home and are releasing a new album next week. Their dad and oldest son (Sam) do the videoing and editing for their videos. And of course their dad is the producer. They are extremely talented and can do a wide variety of music styles - from metal to ballets. Their last two original song video releases demonstrate this with “Carousel” and “Somber Cry.”
Welcome to the World of Liliac! This is a fully independent band. This is one of my favorite videos from their Chain of Thorns EP. At an early age, they busked on the Santa Monica pier for five years. Was on the World's Best show. Made a full studio version of Rainbow in the Dark and it went viral. Papa Liliac parlay all of this with their first tour in 2019. Did it all on his own. Released the Queen of Hearts album in 2020 and on the 7th they release the Madness Album. They are siblings, yes. Papa Liliac (their dad Florin), is a producer.. So his skill is being used to manage and produce them. Sam, the eldest of the boys does video editing as well as playing guitar and is a vocalist as well, though usually singing harmonies. No label, totally independent. Fans help with roadcrew work at times. Fans were included in one of their latest videos, Carousel. Mom runs the Band's store. And they're 100% a class act. They work hard and ask of their fans when needed but they also go out of their way for fans. They're talented, skilled and just amazing at what they pull off. But they're amazing people at the same time. Tough act to follow. And you're just scratching the surface. They've covered some of the greatest metal hits and held their own or one upped them. Not a small task and they seem fearless in that regard. Keep listening. You'll love them before it's over. I'd recommend checking out another of their originals called "Nothing". They initially called their genre "vamp metal", and the video harkens back to the old silent films and makes me think of the movie Vampyr in the way Melody, the lead, moves at the end of the video. Give it a look. It's one of my personal favs from their early originals. Go wild, their covers are amazing. Seven Nation Army from them reinvents the song till the original sounds like a demo tape. Enter Sandman and Master of Puppets from Metallica are amazing covers as well. They cover Ozzy, Dio, Joan Jett, Janice Joplin, Iron Maiden, ... endless fun. Other highlights in their originals: Sail away, is a ballad that will blow you away more than likely. Fan favorite. Carousel, new release from their new upcoming third album of originals, and Not Afraid (extended).. I don't think they have a bad or dull song in their discography to date which I still find stunning. I love Billy Joel tunes but there's some stuff I'd almost deny existed. Not my style to do so; but, even the best lay eggs occasionally. They haven't done it yet. Only group in my collection i can pop in and listen to every song without skipping a track or changing the volume. At any rate, great reaction, love the origin shout out and Cheers!!!

This is one of my fav songs and even videos that Liliac does. This is a great example of Melody's voice, both the rasp and then a taste of her screams notes at the end. She has definitely grown that aspect since this release. The video is appealing with the interpretive dance, the hair colors, the water effects and so on. Love this band. Liliac are fiercely independent and are managed and produced by their dad known as papa Liliac, all play multiple instruments, and all have talents besides music, they make their own music videos and are constantly touring America with sold out concerts. Wait till you get to "Somber Cry" but save it till you go through some of the other songs. If you think that was energized try out "Not Afraid" the extended version.
I think this was not the best first song reaction for Liliac,they have a lot best songs,start whit begining,Nothing,Sail away,Holy diver(cover),Mars,live,I hate myself for loving you(cover),Sober Cry(from last album).Thank you,even if will not react,just listen for your hearts
